Took a deep breath in the mirror
He didn't like it when I wore high heels
But I do
Turn the lock and put my headphones on
He always said he didn't get this song
But I do, I do

Walked in expecting you'd be late
But you got here early and you stand and wave
I walk to you
You pull my chair out and help me in
And you don't know how nice that is
But I do

And you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny 'cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again

You said you never met one girl
Who had as many James Taylor records as you
But I do
We tell stories and you don't know why
I'm coming off a little shy
But I do

But you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny 'cause he never did

I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again

And we walked down the block to my car and I almost brought him up
But you start to talk about the movies that your family
Watches
Every single Christmas and I want to talk about that
And for the first time what's past is past

'Cause you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny 'cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months

Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again

But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again

-That was perfect- Karlie says playing the last notes on the piano.

-Yeah!- Taylor says jumping excited around the room.

-That lyric is really beautiful- Karlie says with a big smile.

-Thank you for helping me figure it out- Taylor says getting closer an hugging her.

-You are learning a lot lately... playing the piano, writing songs, you are better with the guitar now- Karlie says proudly.

-Thanks to you- Taylor says breaking the embrace.

-I know- Karlie laughs- by the way you should go to the studio and show Lily the songs.

-Are you kicking me out?- Taylor asks pretending to be mad.

-No! that was the last thing in my mind- Karlie says dragging her to the couch- but Lily was excited about the last songs and I know she will love the ones we've been working lately too... and she needs material to produce.

-I like when you worry about my work- Taylor says sitting on her lap.

-I know it's important for you- Karlie says shrugging her shoulders.

-Maybe I can go to see Lili tomorrow instead of today right?- Taylor suggest.

-Well... it depends...

-On what?- Taylor asks curious.

-If you are going home now and lay on the couch you should go to see Lily but if you stay here... well I can accept the idea of waiting until tomorrow- Karlie says trying not to laugh.

-You are dork- Taylor protests- of course I want to stay here.

And that was what she did. Staying at Karlie's place was one of her favorite things at the time, it was their intimate, small piece of world where they could be themselves no matter what. She liked that apartment as much as she liked Karlie. However, next day she had to leave it to go to the studio to work with Lily.

It turned out that she spent the whole week working late with Lily on the new songs. She also had some meetings with producers and the heads of the record label. It was time to start sharing the songs with them and talking about singles, dates, ideas for the cover of the album and some parts that she didn't really like it like promo, interviews, magazines... She wanted more time at the studio recording songs but she could understand the promo part after all.
