Her black eye just got worse, Toby was pissed. Not at Spencer of course, for running back to him, although it did annoy him, he was pissed at Caleb; whom Spencer clams is the love of her life.
When Toby broke up with Yvonne, due to the fact that she practically told Toby that Spencer could no longer be seen by him and the fact he was still in love with her, he expected for her to possibly do the same. Yeah, he knew how selfish that sounded, but Spencer she just didn't, seem happy. She rarely smiled and she always seemed in pain. And once he had found out that Caleb had been hurting Spencer, he got pissed. He was about to tell the cops, but Spencer begged him not to, that she could handle it. Of course he kept his promise, regretting it everyday. But as Spencer said, she loves him, and he loves her, and all Toby wanted for her is to be happy.
Spencer came to his door about an hour ago. She had bruises up and down her small body and a black eye. Toby was about to call the police, but yet again, Spencer won. "He is stressed, he went to the bar and had a bit to much, he always gets upset about what he did when he is sober and makes up for it. He loves me Toby, and this is just something we're gonna have to get a control on." That's what she told him the first time it happened. This was the second time she had came for comfort, although Toby knew for a fact Caleb was still hurting Spencer. The fresh bruises on her arms every week proved it.
And now Spencer was stirring in Toby's living room, tears spilling down her cheeks. Toby plopped down besides her and looked at the bright orange fire that illuminated there faces.
"Spence, how many times has he hurt you?" Toby questioned, concern in his voice.
"It's only happened a few times Toby, I swear."
"Then why do you have fresh bruises all over your body every time I see you?"
She went to a blank, she had absolutely nothing to say. Tears streamed down her face yet again, Toby wiped away her tears as he unthinkably leaned in and connected the space between there lips. They kissed for quite a few seconds, Toby went into a trance. Until Spencer pulled away. Her face covered in fear.
She rushed out of Toby's house driving quickly. What had I just done? He thought.
He knew he could treat her better, he would never hurt a hair on Spencer's body, but she just got sucked right back into that vortex called Caleb Rivers. And damn did he hate it.
