"Michelle! You're gonna be late for school, honey!" My mom called, I smiled as I hoped downstairs, I wore slim jeans, an oversized black sweater, my hair in a bun and silver platform shoes that somehow blended well with my outfit.

"Love you!" I yelled inside my house before leaving, pulling my pink backpack up my shoulder. I hummed a random tune as I awaited for my ride I glanced at my phone, about to texts them, but I saw them turn the corner that came down my street.

"Hey little mama! Need a ride?" He asked in his fake-new York accent. I rolled my eyes as I opened up the backdoor to the small blue car.

"Morning, Kris." I said. I noticed nobody was in the front seat.
"Wait...where's-" he cut me off before I could finish.

Kris was wearing a black tank top with a smiley face on it it drilling white fonts, black shorts and then sneakers, his blond hair messy but still looked styled.
"She's at school already, she had to go early for some cheerleading practice or something."
Kris informed me.

"Ah." I said, unbuckling myself and climbing over the glove compartment, falling into the front seat a lot les gracefully then intended.

"How's your morning been, Chelly?" He asked. I smiled. "Great. Mother made me waffles so that was a great way to start off the morning." Kris nodded.

"Gosh, Micah makes the best waffles." Kris said. I giggled and nodded. "True!" I agreed.

I walked into the school, linking arms with my best friend as we passed our fellow students.

I glanced at my phone, annoyed that I had no texts from her.

But my eyes lit up when I saw her coming down the hallway and over to us, wearing a green camouflaged crop top with black leggings and black flats. Her blonde hair was down today and her makeup on point--as always, her brown eyeshadow making her big blue eyes pop.

She smiled as she spotted me and Kris and jogged over.

"Morning, Scarlet" I greeted, giving her a hug.
"Morning!" She replied excitedly as always, giving a hug to Kris as well.

"How was practice?" I asked. She groaned dramatically. "Alexis, you know, the cheer captain?" She asked. Me and kris nodded in acknowledgment.

"Okay well anyways, she was nonstop going on a rant about how we didn't win last weeks football game and we were all so uncomfortable, she was like "Like honestly, the other teams players were frickin' rigging the game. And the cheerleaders were total brats, have you seen their uniforms?" Like what the heck, shut up! Nobody cares!"
Scarlet ranted as we began walking toward our lockers.

"Ugh, that's so annoying. I never liked her." I agreed. Scarlet smiled. "Thank you." She replied. Kris groaned.

"Don't act like that's a surprise. She always agrees with you. You girls never don't agree with eachother." Kris said. I rolled my eyes.

"You're just jealous that Ariel always disagrees with you." Scarlet said. Kris rolled his eyes.

"Whatever..." He mumbled. I grabbed Scarlets hand as we continued walking.
"How are you doing today, Chell?" Scarlet asked as we reached our destination.

"Eh, fine. It's better now that I'm with you, though." She smiled with a tint of pink coming to her cheeks, making me smile.

"How are my two favorite lesbians today?" Kelly asked as she approached us. I rolled my eyes.
"Ew, first of all, you're so annoying, second of all, what if I greeted you with 'how is my favorite black girl today?'" I asked. Kelly rolled her eyes.

"Racist lesbian alert!" Kelly said. Scarlet giggled as she checked the time on her phone.
"Where Ariel?" I asked. Kelly shrugged.

"Wait...where'd Kris go?" Scarlet asked, noticing his absence. Kelly smiled slightly.

"Probably wherever Ariel is."

"Good morning!" Ariel said to Kris as she hugged him, Kris smiled at her abnormally high voice, he thought it was adorable, and pulled back from the hug.
"How are you today, sweetheart?" Ariel asked.

"I'm good, I'm good. I'm happy that it's colder outside so I can wear this shirt." Kris replied with a chuckle.

"Really? I'm hot." Ariel said.

Kris groaned at her constant disagreeing, causing Ariel to laugh. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I agree." She said. Kris put a fist in the air.

"Yes! Finally!" He exclaimed. Ariel grunted. "We are not in the last scene of a The Breakfast Bunch. Put your damn hand down." Ariel laughed, Kris did as she said and then followed her to wherever she started walking to.

"Why do you keep staring at me?" Scarlet asked as we did homework, sitting on her floral bedsheets.

I smiled. "Because you're nice to look at." An obvious blush appeared on her cheeks as she cleared her throat and proceeded writing down notes on her notebook.

I grew bored of waiting for her to finish homework, so I grabbed her hand and gently pulled her toward me, with a giggle, she pulled her hand away.

"I have to finish this, Chelly." She said, still reading and writing down notes.
I whined and grabbed her hand again, simply holding it as she wrote.

I smiled at the small dose of contact with her warm hand and played with her fingers.

"In this book, they never say the gender of the main character. Like ever." Scarlet brought up after a few minutes. I hummed and rested my chin on her shoulder, looking at her book.

"What's this persons name?" I asked. "Taylor." She replied.

"Poor snake." Scarlet groaned. "Get over that already." She laughed.

"What's the opposite sex name for Taylor? Saying if it was a boy." I asked curiously. She pondered for a mo.

"Like Tasha or something."

"That doesn't even sound like Taylor." Scarlet rolled her eyes. "Sorry?" She said. "You're opposite sex name would be like, Scooter." I said. She snorted.

"That's gross, I hate that." I frowned. "I'd wanna be named scooter. That's a dope name!" I defended.

"Of course it is, honey." She said, patting my leg. I groaned again. "You'd be like...Michael." She said. I raised an eyebrow.

"No." I stated simply. "Ugh, fine. Then like...hmm, Michelle....ooh! Mitchell." She said.

"Mitch. Since you call me Chelly." I replied. She nodded. "Mitch and Scooter." I said, laughing. She furrowed her non existent eyebrows.

"No. I don't wanna be scooter." She whined. I sighed dramatically, pretending to think about another name even though I had one right in my mind.

"You'd be Scott." She pressed her lips together before forming a smile. "Yeah. I like Scott. Scott and Mitch. Aww, that's so cute."
She exclaimed. I giggled along with her.

She proceeded reading but I pulled her toward me.
"What?" She said as she finally turned toward me.

"I want a kiss, Scott."
She rolled her eyes before giving me a peck on the lips. I pouted, earning hey again, another eyebrow.
She pressed her lips to my cheek and pulled back with a smile.

I giggled and held my cheek where her lips once were.

"I love you, Michelle Casey Madelyn Grassi."

"I love you too, Scarlet Rachel Hoying."
