***"Mitch, since you and Kirstin seem to be talking about something so important you felt the need to discuss it in my class, please, share with us."
Some kids in the classroom went 'oooh' as if they were caught in the headlights.
Kirstie just giggled and the teacher raised a challenging eyebrow."Are you sure about that?" Mitch asked as he giggled too. The teacher stood her ground and nodded.
"Oh, but of course. Please do share."
Mitch couldn't make his giant smile off his face as he sat up straighter in his seat. Kirstie covered he face as she contained her laughter.
"I was telling Miss Maldonado how incredibly hot my boyfriend is. Since I was telling her that, I felt the need to show her some pictures and--"
"Mitchell Grassi!"
***
"Hey, kirstie." Scott greeted her with a hug. She smiled but he could see the stress in her eyes.
"Everything okay? Oh wait, where's Diamond?" He asked, referring to Mitch. Ever since he shaved his head that's been the #1 nickname.
"Uh...he kinda has to stay in Miss Noel's class room for lunch." Kirstie said hesitantly. Scott groaned with a roll of his eyes.
"What did he do this time?"
"Uh...talked about the photos that you've sent him... like the kind of ones that--"
Scott gasped before covering his mouth."Oh my gosh, I'm gonna to whack him upside the head with my salad bowl." Kirstie giggled. "That'll show him." She said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and began making his way toward Miss Noel's class.
Upon arriving, he quickly said a quick sorry to whatever was listening.
He knocked on the door twice, a 'come in' coming after. Scott walked inside the class. He glanced at Mitch who had his 'lol sorry' face again.
Scott sight. He'd deal with him later.
"Hey, Miss Noel?" She looked up from what of the tests the kids did with a small smile.
"Oh, hello Mister Hoying. Here to pick your boy up from jail?" She asked sarcastically.Mitch rolled his eyes while Scott just snickered.
"I'm really sorry about...whatever he said in class, but can you please let him eat with us? We haven't talked in a day."
Miss Noel bit her bottom lip as she thought. She then sighed in defeat and put her red pen down.
"Fine. Mitch, I'm not the enemy. You don't have to constantly try and prance up. At the end of the day, the disrespect you give me really hurts."
Scott frowned, Miss Noel was his favourite teacher and he was defiantly going to get into Mitch about this.
Mitch didn't reply, only grabbed his bag and quickly left the room.
Miss Noel gave a small smile toward Scott which he returned with an apologetic eye.
He then followed Mitch down the hall, grabbing him by the arm gently to stop him.
"Mitch, if you get in trouble again they're gonna consider expelling you."
Scott saidMitch just rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, whatever." He mumbled. "Lunch now?" Scott sighed but decided to talk about later when food wasn't on the line.***
Mitch and Scott finally sat down with Esther, Kirstie, Avi, Kevin, and Tori.
Avi opened his mouth to ask, but Scott just shook his head slightly."Hi, Mitch." Tori greeted with a smile. Mitch smiled back and began talking with Tori and Kirstie.
Shortly after they started eating, a girl approached the table with the name of Brit.
"Hi, guys." She said cheerfully. Avi and Kevin both made 'ugh' faces at eachother, chuckling.
Tori, Esther, Kirstie and Mitch just replied in a monotone voice. "Hi."
Scott smiled brightly. "Hey, Brit. How was your piano recital?"
That got Mitch's attention. He raised his eyebrows as they began talking.
"Oh, scott, do you think you could help me study for my Spanish test? You're literally the smartest person in this school and I totally suck at Spanish."Mitch leaned over toward the girls without taking his eyes off Brit.
"Uh...how does his intelligence affect his Spanish...that dumb tramp..."
Mitch said. Tori chuckled."Maybe because he can pick it up faster?" Esther suggested.
Mitch scoffed.
"Just because he can solve a hard algebra problem doesn't mean he can go to a day of the dead celebration and talk to all the moms without any language barriers."
Mitch replied. The girls all laughed quietly.Mitch sat up straight again and folded his hands over another.
"Yeah, I can give you my address or something?" Brit suggested. Scott, completely clueless that as was trying to seem seductive with her lip bite and push up bra, agreed.
You see, Brit was new to the school.
Nobody even bothered warning her about Scott and Mitch since it was always fun to watch them learn themselves.
Nobody would ever try going near Scott with any flirtatious mood because Mitch would be there. Ready to throw his crown at you.
"Hey, Brit?" Mitch asked. Brit averted her eyecontact.
"Oh. I don't think we've met before." Brit said as she held out her hand with a smile.Kevin sorted. "Clearly."
Mitch plastered his bitch smile and shook her hand.
"Hey, Scott?" Mitch asked. Scott was already looking at Mitch and a fond smile."Yeah?" He asked. Mitch kept staring at Brit right in the eyes.
"Do you remember that one time when we were making out because we are flaming homos? Like we are just so gay! And remember when you asked me to be your boyfriend because we're very GAY?"
Brits eye widened in embarrassment. Her face flushed red and she back up slightly.
"I actually gotta go finish my lunch....um, I'll catch you later."
She quickly sped walk away from the situation and went back to her table where her friends were.Scott had his face in his hands. The girls and Avi and Kevin began laughing but Mitch simply grabbed Scott's hand and kissed his knuckles.
"Oh my goodness, Diamond.." Scott said, muffled by his hands.
Mitch smiled with satisfaction before saying.
"Nobody is allowed to flirt with my nerd except for myself." Scott rolled his eyes but smiled.
"Yeah, and nobody is allowed to do near the school asshole except for all of us." Scott replied, gesturing toward the rest of their friends who began chatting amongst themselves.
"Yeah. Good. Everyone else here is annoying." Mitch replied, grabbing his fork and taking a bite of his salad.
Scott just laughed breathily as he began eating his food too, although he still held Mitch's hand tightly.
He was, after all, his diamond.
