"Covergirl doesn't cover boy, sweetheart."

Scott rolled his eyes. Mitch glanced back at the girl who said the comment, and with a flick of his fingers, she tripped and spilt her papers everywhere.

"Strong comments doesn't mean strong legs, sweetie!" Mitch laughed. The girl didn't acknowledge him as she hurriedly collected her things.

"That was perfect timing." Scott said with a quiet chuckle. Mitch hummed in reply, subtly smiling to himself. "Okay so, you're still sleeping over right? only reason I ask is because sometimes I make plans in my head that I actually didn't make and then assume it happened."

Scott asked as they proceeded to walk down the hall. Mitch nodded, glancing over briefly at him. He noticed a guy ahead with his foot held out subtly in Scotts way. With a small gesturing with his hand, the kid yelped in pain as his locker unexpectedly swung open and hit in head.

Scott gasped, but the kids friends quickly ran to help him up.

"Poor buddy. Must have a broken locker." Mitch said. Scott shrugged slightly with a small shake of his head. "Yeah, that was weird." He replied cluelessly.

"Mitch, you can't keep doing that at school. Someone will notice, and I don't want to move again!" Nel lectured. Mitch rolled his eyes and didn't reply. Nel snaps her fingers, and mitts head jerked up and his eyes made contact with hers. "Young man, i'm talking to you. Don't roll your eyes."

Mitch groaned annoyedly. "You said you wouldn't use magic on me!" He yelled, Nel laughed sarcastically.

"You said you'd stop using magic at school. I swear, if someone sees you and finds out--"

"They won't! I barely use it. And when I do, it's only because..." Mitch stopped himself, sighing and looking down. Nel shook her head slightly. "Mitch, I get that you can get your way with magic but.. you really need to tone it down, okay? You could jeopardize this family without realizing it. No more. I'm serious." She said with raised eyebrows.

"Only use it when you're alone. Seriously."

Mitch nodded with defeat but quickly stood up. "I'm going to head over now, okay? no magic. I promise. also, no more magic involving your lectures! that's just unfair." Nel winked with a small smile. "I'm the magic mom, my boy. And that's why." Mitch rolled his eyes, but still smiled at her.

Mitch swooped up his bag and was out the door quickly. Once her glanced around to see if anyone was in eyesight, he snapped his fingers and suddenly appeared at the side of Scott's house. He quickly walked up to the front and knocked twice. Before he could knock again, the door swung open and a wide smile appeared on Mitch's face when Scott excitedly welcomed him in.

"Oh, hello Mitch! dinners in ten minutes, alright? Don't stomp up the stairs!" Connie, Scott's mother, said as she walked past them and to the kitchen.

"Yeah whatever." Scott mumbled as he, despite what she said, stomped up stairs with Mitch behind him.

Mitch giggled breathily, following him. Once in Scott's room, they both fell into a comfortable silence. As Mitch set down his bag, pulling out his blanket to put cover himself with as he laid beside Scott on his bed. Scott scrolled through social media on his phone as Mitch read his history book. He glanced over at Scott, and noticed he wore a small frown.

"You okay?" Mitch asked quietly, Scott didn't reply, too consumed in whatever he was looking at to reply. Mitch sat up, leaning over to look at his phone. Scott pulled away with a soft giggle, and Mitch rolled his eyes. "What are you looking at? show me."

Scott looked at him, a small smile on his face but Mitch could tell something was bothering him.
"I'm gonna go take a shower." Scott said abruptly. Taking his phone with him into the bathroom.

A few minutes went by as Scott got into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
Mitch sighed, really wanting to see what was on his phone.

Mitch then smirked. He knew his social media passwords.
He logged out of his account, and then logged into Scott's instagram account. Everything looked pretty normal, well, until he looked this messages.

"Faggot"
"Sissy"

"Kill yourself"

Mitch felt his blood boil.
He shut off his phone and closed his eyes. He then thought back to what his mom said.

Was it worth it to risk getting caught?

Mitch rolled his eyes at himself.

"Of course it's worth it." He whispers to himself.
He logged back into his account and looked at who sent the messages.

Casey.
Michael.
Jordan.

The next day, everything was pretty normal at the start. Scott was embed a little sad, but Mitch knew it wouldn't last. Well, maybe.

As they sad in the living room, his mom watching the news, Mitch played close attention.

"And in sad news this morning, three high school teenagers get into a tragic car accident, all ending in life threatening injuries. The teens have been identified as Jordan Byers, Michael Nolan and Casey Hens. All are in the hospital, on life support. The cause of the accident is still a mystery."

Mitch sighed with a small smile as he watched the screen.
"Wow..." Connie said, with a small frown.

Scott looked baffled as Mitch turned to look at him.
"Mom... those are the kids. The ones that... y'know..."
Connie looked at him in shock. "Really?"
Scott nodded.

"What are you talking about?" Mitch asked as oblivious as possible.

"Oh they were just... mean to me. And now all of them are in a vicious car wreck?"

Mitch hummed, turning away. His hand twitched and he smiled.

"Isn't that silly?"
