"Young Lady, you come down here right now!" Scott yelled. Her door slammed loudly and Scott sighed annoyedly under his breath.
He inhaled deeply and mentally called himself down before walking upstairs.
He frowned as he heard her crying quietly in her bedroom.
He knocked lightly on he door before saying softly.
"May I come in, please? I'm not going to yell at you... I promise."
He heard nothing at first, but soon footsteps grew louder and her door unlocked. He gently pushed the door open and stepped in, closing the door behind him.
She stomped back to her bed and sat down, grabbing a stuffed animal bunny next to her and holding it tightly. She sniffed, avoided eye contact, and didn't react as Scott sat down beside her."Why did you hit a girl at school today?" Scott asked. Sybil shrugged and shook her head slightly.
Scott raised his 'eyebrows', still expecting an answer. She sighed and looked down at her lap.
"Henry cheated on me with Sage... she knew we were dating, but she was mad at me so she did it anyway." Her trembling voice answered."He cheated on you!? I'm going to go over right now and--!"
"Dad, please. At least console me first; then you can go... I don't know, beat him up or something." She said with a slight sarcastic tone. Scott frowned and clenched his left fist just to contain his building anger.
"Wait... why did you slap Sage? Henry was the one that cheated; not that i want you to slap people."
Sybil chuckled sadly and crossed her arms."Says the guy about to punch him. No, I uh... I um... I may or may not have key'd his car and taken his guitar and... destroyed it before setting it on fire."
Scott stared at her for a moment before rolling his eyes.
"Tell me you're not being serious right now." She blushed and shook her head."Sorry?" She mumbled. Scott sighed but couldn't help but let out a laugh.
"Never do that again but... I'll let that one slide considering the circumstances. Sybil, you know violence is never--"
"The answer. Yep, I know. But it was so random, she was showing me these text messages, rubbing it in my face! I just... I couldn't help it, I just got so upset." She defended weakly. Scott put his arm around her, allowing her to lean in his side.
"If you ever hit someone again that's not a mugger, you'll be in so much trouble. Sybil, they suspended you for three days. And you're grounded. But... I don't have the heart to lecture you right how about destroying property. Baby, I'm so sorry. I thought he was such a nice kid, I'm so sorry I didn't stop it when I met him."
She sighed and hugged Scott tighter.
"Not your fault... I'm never dating anyone ever again." She murmured, Scott noticing the tears slowly falling down her face."That's totally okay with me." Scott replied.

"--and, she set his guitar on fire."
Mitch laughed and clapped twice.
"You raised your daughter right, Scott. Dang, she's wild. Honestly, I would've done the same. How is she holding up, though?"
Scott chuckled before shrugging."She's... she's getting better. She's still really upset, so am I. God, boys in high school are never good enough." Scott said with a roll of his eyes. Mitch gasped offendedly and hit Scott's arm.
