***"All I wanted was you..." Mitch murmured to himself as he walked down in the sidewalk in the rain. His black coat tied tightly as the rain hit him like daggers.
Each footstep was like a brick being placed on his shoulders, each step his heart ached painfully.
He didn't know what heartbreak truly was until that day. He tried so hard, but it just didn't work out.
He gripped onto love like a lifeline with his breaking fingernails. He was falling off a cliff and he finally fell down to the cold, lonely abyss known as sadness.
He gripped at his hair as if it would somehow heal him, but his heart couldn't be healed.
Not after this.
Every breath, every blink, every movement hurt more and more. His lungs were being stabbed over and over and over again when he thought about the painful and horrid day.
Loosing the love of your life is quite possibly the worst thing ever.
His breath started getting quicker as the rain got harder. No matter how many tears poured from his eyes and fell down to the ground with the rain, he still couldn't comprehend that he was broken up with.
Each step began to get heavier and heavier.
Nothing could go right.
Everything bad was happening.
All I wanted was you.
Why did this happen to him, was his affection not enough? Was his inevitable first heartbreak supposed to be from his best friend and first boyfriend?
His best friend.
He needed to go to him. Scott would make everything better. Scott could help him. Scott could hold his shattered pieces of his heart and stick them back together again.
But he can't. Because he's the one who broken it into tiny, sharp pieces.
All I wanted was you.

"I'm sorry...but I'm done."
Mitch replayed the scene over and over in his head, wishing he could somehow use his imagination to change what happen.
He imagines that Scott shouts "just kidding! It's a prank!" And then cameras reveal themselves.
But no. That didn't happen. He just left.
"Scott--"
"I'm done, Mitch."
What did he do wrong? Was there something Mitch said to knock Scott over the edge and break up with him?
Mitch had returned from his walk and gotten changed out of his wet clothes and into comfortable ones which was a black long sleeved sweater and white sweatpants.
He sat on his black couch in the living room and called his best friend, Kirstie.
"Hello?"
"Kirstie? Hey, uh... I-it's Mitch." Mitch greeted, hoping he wouldn't start crying again since he already had a pounding headache.
"Oh...hello."
Mitch was confused. Why was she acting so different on the phone?
"Mitchy, I'm sorry, but...but I can't talk right now. Scotts over and--"
"Scotts over?"
"Yes, look, I'm sorry but...but I-I'm still mad at you for shutting me out the past fortnight. I can't just...come over and help you out now that you need me again. I gotta go."
Then she hung up.
Mitch's breath for quicker as he hung up. His house only filled with the noises he was making. Everything else was silent.
He lost both of them.
He began crying again. The loneliness was becoming overwhelming for him. The darkness from outside was caving in on him and he was going to spare. And he wasn't sure when he was going to get out.
But then a person came to mind.
He quickly dialed the number and pressed his mobile to his ear.
"Hello, baby!" Came the voice. Mitch let out a sigh of relief as more tears fell from his eyes, it's like he was having his own storm in his head.
"Scott broke up with me."
Mitch said bluntly. He heard a small sigh come from the phone."I'm coming over. I'm bringing rocky road, frozen and lots of love. I'll be there in five minutes, okay?"
Mitch sniffed loudly, causing clogged up snot to travel up his noise which made him groan frustratedly.
"Okay...thank you."
"No problem. I love you."
"I love you too, mommy..."
Mitch replied softly before hanging up.
He put his found down and finally let it all out.Let the pain that built up in his chest into his living echoes. Now his mind can be simply gutted and not in pain.
Although he knew he was going to feel so much pain.
He lost him.
The love of his life.
He was gone.
All he wanted was him.
