“So, who’s the boy toy?” Kris asked as I walked back to my group of friends. I rolled my eyes and pushed on his arm lightly.
“Shut up. He was drunk and lonely, you could relate.” Kris laughed. “That’s true,” she said before taking another swing of beer. She swallowed harshly before adding, “ive never attached myself to a man like that, though. D’you get his number?”
I shook my head.
She frowned. “That’s too bad. Hey, me and Hailey are gonna head out soon. Wanna come? We’re gonna grab some Denny’s then back to my flat.”
I declined politely. I was tired, had a headache, and definitely didn’t feel like hanging out.
“See you at the hotel on Monday!” She said to me before dragging her wife, hailey, out of the club.
Alas, I was alone. I wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I liked being alone. But I also hated that I gave myself time to think. And by think, I mean let my mind go crazy about hypothetical situation and how that’ll affect my life.
“Looking for a good time?”
A short woman woman said, clearly intoxicated. Who isn’t at this time of night?
I chuckled, looking down at her. “Unless your idea of a good time is heading home, eating left over fried chicken and watching friends, I think our idea of a good time is different.”
The woman laughed, her eyes crinkling ah the corners.
“You’re funny. And no, that wasn’t my idea. Sounds like a good time. Have fun.” She before patting my arm as she walked away.
I sighed, putting down my drink before walking out.

It was Saturday. The day of hangovers, sleepovers, more drinking, and more socializing.
For me, however, it was just caffeine overload and television. I didn’t like going out on Saturday’s, to be honest. Saturday’s were the only days I could isolate myself for a bit.
“I’ll take an iced coffee, hold the ice.” I looked at who the voice belonged to.
“So... you just want coffee?” The woman behind the counter asked. The man paused for a second before replying, “I guess so.”
It took me a second, but I recognized him. It was Mitch, the man from the club. I smiled a bit, he was funny.
He probably didn’t remember me, or how much he had to drink, either.
I looked away from him and back at my laptop. I was watching beauty gurus, oh the life I never lived.
I was sitting in the corner on the sofa-chair, and soon I was joined.
“Screw my life...” he mumbled as he held his hand to his forehead.
“Bad hangover?” I asked. He didn’t look at me, but giggled and nodded. “How’d you know?”
