Skylar's POV

I walked into the school and almost bumped right into Sammy. He smiled at me, then I started walking towards my locker. When I got there, I realized that Sammy was still following me. He was about to say something, but his friends showed up first.

Friend: What are you doing with this nerd, Sammy? C'mon, we have to go do something! It can't wait.

Before he could say anything, his friends dragged him away. I rolled my eyes and walked to first hour. The warning bell rang, and Sammy still wasn't there. A couple minutes later the actual bell rang, and still no Sammy. I got mad, because he had wasted my time yesterday.

He walked in 10 minutes late and apologized to the teacher.  The teacher just shooed him to his seat and continued his lecture. I was taking notes when Sammy sat down, and he tried talking to me about yesterday. He still didn't get that I was mad, because he kept talking.

Skylar: Samuel, can't you understand I'm trying to take notes and be a productive student, unlike you. So please just shush.

I guess he got my "hint", because he stopped talking and pulled out his binder. He started taking notes on what the teacher was saying, and I rebought what I said earlier. Just before the bell rang, Sammy looked at me before walking away.

Okay maybe I was a little harsh towards him, but I thought he wasted my time. I walked to my next class, and Sammy was nowhere to be seen. Halfway into class, and he was still yet to come. When the bell ending second hour rang, I looked around the halls for him, but nothing.

Third hour was no different to second hour, so I just gave up. He's obviously decided he doesn't want to be a good student. I went through the whole rest of my day without seeing him, that is until he stumbled up to me after last period.

Sammy: You think you're so cool, just because you have good grades. Well that's not true. You yelled at me today for being late, because my friends were trying to pressure me. But it didn't work, that is until you yelled at me. You need to think before you say something, "princess".

Skylar: Maybe, instead of going with them you need to tell them straight up, no. Now I have to go.

I stormed off to my car, and when I turned around he was still standing there. It didn't take me long to get home, and when I got there I threw myself on the bed. My parents were leaving in three days and I can't wait. I assume my parents always leave town, because they can't stand to see me on my brothers death date.

A couple minutes later, there was a knock at my door, so I walked downstairs to answer it. When I opened the door, I saw Sammy standing there just looking at the ground. As I was about to close the door, he put his foot in the way. I opened it back up and he looked at me.

Sammy: I need your help again....

Skylar: Come in and go to my room. I'll be right up.

Sammy's POV

I walked into her room and sat down on the bed, waiting for her. She yelled at me this morning, and it really sucked. Because I like her, and this isn't helping me. She walked into her room and handed me a glass of water.

Skylar: What do you need help on? I practically did all your work for you yesterday, so what do you want?

Sammy: Can we go for a walk? I want to talk to you.

She nodded her head and started walking towards the door. I followed after her, and we slowly made our way down the street. Not far ahead of us, there was a park, so we went to the park and sat on the swings. We sat quietly for a little, before I started talking.

Sammy: I'm really sorry about this morning.....I didn't mean what I said.

Skylar: I didn't either. I guess I'm just kind of stressed with my parents leaving, and my plans for the weekend haven't been finalized.

Sammy: If you don't mind me asking, what are your plans?

Skylar: I'll tell you later. Maybe.

She stood up and started walking back to her house. I got up and started following her. When we got back to her house, we started working on my homework. At around 6, we had finished my makeup work, so I got up to leave.

Sammy: Are we friends?

Skylar: Sure. And I might text you later for some help on my plans. You'd be the best person to ask. Now out! My parents will be home any minute and I don't wanna explain why you're here again.

I laughed, before getting up and walking out. As I was walking home, I started thinking about what she meant. Why would I be the best person for her plans? What is she planning? The weekends close, so I guess I'll figure out soon.
