Skylar's POV

Monday morning rolled around, and I managed to get myself out of bed. Walking into my closet, I found a cute outfit that would show everyone I had changed. I walked into my bathroom and started to straighten my hair while listening to "Thief" by Ansel Elgort.

Once I had finished, I grabbed my bag and walked out the door. When I pulled into the door and got out of my car, everyone stopped and stared. I walked into the doors of the building and straight to my locker. Shoving what I didn't need in my locker, I turned to walk to my first hour class. All of a sudden, I heard someone call my name so I turned around.

"Skylar, I looked everywhere for you after you disappeared Friday and I couldn't find you. Plus you wouldn't answer your phone, so I was worried sick." I continued walking to my class, while he trailed me. All of sudden, I didn't hear him beside me so I turned and looked at him. "Woah, you look really....different."

I rolled my eyes and walked to my class. He trudged in behind me, and everyone in class was thoroughly surprised at the way I was dressed. The bell rang and the teacher started lecturing, but I sat playing on my phone and tracing my tattoo with a pen. When Sammy noticed it, he sucked in a deep breath but said nothing.

When the bell rang, I walked out and made my way to second hour. As soon as I stepped through the door, I saw Danny sitting in the next to mine. I smiled and walked over to him and sat down. "Hey there Danny. I never noticed you sat by me. I'm glad you do. Better than the kid on the other side of me."

He smiled a toothy grin at me, before turning his whole body towards me. Danny looked me up and down and whistled. "Dang girl, didn't know you had clothes like this. Totally saw you as only the good girl type." I shrugged my shoulders and winked at him. The bell rang and the rest of the day dragged on like always.

I decided to do my homework, since I still wanted to graduate in a few weeks. Since I had gotten ahead last week, I didn't have very much to do, leaving me with plenty of free time. Walking downstairs into my kitchen, I started making myself a bowl of cereal when my phone dinged.

Unknown Number: Hey, this is a little weird, but it's Danny. Hope you don't mind I got a hold of your number, but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime. Maybe get coffee? Just text me back when you can if you want. xoxo

I smiled to myself, then set my phone down on the table. There is absolutely no way I am turning this down, but cereal will always come first. Grabbing my phone and bowl, I walked over to the couch and turned on the TV. Once I had finished my cereal, I grabbed my phone and reopened the text.

Skylar: Hey Danny boy. I would love to get coffee with out sometime. And maybe if that goes great, we could have a second date. ;) Anyways just text me with the plans and I'm down.

After hitting send, I walked back up to my room and sprawled out on my bed. My parents weren't going to be home for a couple of hours, which means that I would be eating take out yet again. I decided to order Chinese food, because it was simple and I hadn't had it in forever. Shortly after, my phone dinged and I rolled over to it and see it.

Sammy: Look Skylar, I'm really sorry can you please forgive me? I'm losing my mind without you. We haven't talked since the party on Friday and I miss you. Just text me please, so I can explain myself. I still love you....

I rolled my eyes and threw my phone off the bed. Just as I was about to scream, I heard my door bell ring. Once I had paid for my food, I took it to my room and started eating it. My parents got home later and said goodnight to me. Just a normal day in my house. No one talking to no one.
