Skylar's POVThe week flew by and it was finally time for the party. It didn't take me long to get ready and just as I finished Sammy was pulling up to my house. Telling my parents I was going to study, I walked out the door and got into the car with Sammy. When he saw me he whistled and licked his lips. "Damn, baby, I knew those dresses were hot, but you make them look sexy." I kissed him before he started driving to the party.
With his hand on my thigh, I smiled and played on my phone. Shortly after he picked me up, he pulled up in front of a house that had a bunch of teens at it. Sammy came around and opened my door for me, helping me out. We made our way into the party and he leaned over to me. "Hey, babe, I'm gonna go get us a drink."
I nodded my head to him as he made his way towards what I assumed was the kitchen. There were so many people, I couldn't find where to go. As I was walking through the crowd to find Sammy, I saw people from our school I recognized. A few waved but nobody stopped to start a conversation. All of a sudden, I bumped into somebody and they almost spilled their drink all over me.
When I looked at who it was I came eye to eye with a very attractive boy. We locked eyes for a minute and all I could see was his gorgeous blue eyes. He chuckled before rubbing the back of his hand. I quickly looked away, knowing for sure my cheeks were bright red. "Hey, my names Danny. I think I've seen you at school before. The names Skylar right?"
I quickly looked back up at the sound of my name, confused at how a cute boy could know my name. He saw that and quickly dropped his hand from his neck. "Yeah, that's my name. I'm really sorry I bumped into you. I was just looking for my boyfriend, but he seems to have disappeared." The second I mentioned a boyfriend, his face fell a little and I felt bad.
He cleared his throat and looked around for a second, before his eyes fell back on me. "Isn't your boyfriend, Sammy?" I nodded my head and looked around to see if I could find him. "Last I saw him, he was over by the drinks. It was nice meeting you Skylar. Maybe we can chill at school sometime." We smiled at each other, before he turned to get lost in the crowd again.
I started walking towards the kitchen but couldn't get through the crowds of drinking and smoking people. Trying to push my way through these people made me really wish I had kept Danny around. When I finally made my way to the kitchen, I couldn't find Sammy. Groaning, I made my way outside to get a breath of fresh air. There were more people out here smoking around a bonfire and just as I was about to walk inside something caught my eye.
Right across from me sitting in front of the bonfire, sat Sammy and some girl making out. I stopped dead in my tracks and just watched what unfolded in front of me. Just then Sammy pulled away from the girl and locked eyes with me. A tear rolled down my cheek, and I wiped it away before taking off into the house. As I was about to get to the door, someone caught my arm, and I turned to be face to face with Danny. "Hey, what's wrong, Sky?"
Before I could answer, he pulled me outside after spotting Sammy looking for me. I wiped the remaining tears away from my eyes and gave him a weak smile. "I just trusted somebody I should've never trusted. It's my own fault. But I think I'm gonna head home. I'll see you Monday I guess, Danny. Thank you though for asking." He gave me a small smile, before pulling me into a hug.
"Baby girl, it's dark out and there's no way I'm letting you go alone. I've only had half of a cup and my cars here. I'll drive you home. This was getting lame anyways." I nodded my head at him, and we made our way to the car. When he dropped me off at home, I thanked him and walked into my room. Walking in front of my mirror, I look at myself and realized why Sammy didn't want me.
I'm way too innocent and that's about to change. Taking off my dress and putting my pjs on, I vowed that I would get a whole new wardrobe tomorrow and maybe even some new piercings. This boy is going to know just what he lost.
