Sammy's POV
We laid on the back of my car watching the sunset, until it got completely dark. Once the sun was completely down, she got up and grabbed a blanket. She went to lay in the tent, and I followed after her. I laid down and she cuddled in next to me, wrapping her arms around my waist. After awhile of just laying there, I pulled down the little flap that lets us look at the sky. Skylar gasped and tightened her grip on me. I kissed her forehead, and started looking at the stars again.
Skylar: Woah, the stars look gorgeous. Do you look at this every time you're here? I know I would.
Sammy: Yeah, and it never stops being beautiful. There are too many lights to see it from the city, but once you get away, all you see is stars.
Skylar: I'd love to build a little house in this clearing. Except it's probably somebody's land, and I'm about to graduate so I have no money.
Sammy: Maybe someday you will be able to build a house here. You're right, it would be nice to build a house right here.
I smiled at her, then looked back up at the stars. Every time I come here, it runs through my head. The last time I was here hasn't left my mind. That girl that broke my heart. The reason I'm the way I am. She took everything I had. Nobody has ever heard why I act the way I do. I guess I was lost in thought, because when Skylar poked me I jumped. Skylar started laughing, and I joined in with her. Suddenly she got really serious, which made me worried.
Skylar: Are you okay, Sammy? You seemed really lost in thought there.
Sammy: I'm fine. Just thinking about today and how much fun it was.
Skylar: Good.
As she said that, I found her sitting on my lap. Instead of doing anything I wanted her to, she leaned down and kissed me slowly. I grabbed the back of her neck and continued to kiss her back. After a minute or so, she pulled away and just looked at me. We both sat up, her still on my lap, and I wrapped my arms around her waist. She laid her head on my shoulder, and I could feel her breathing.
Sammy: We don't have to if you don't want to.
Skylar: I don't think we should right now. I want it to be perfect.
Sammy: I understand.
I nodded my head, then wrapped my arms around her stomach. We laid back down and cuddled. Before long, I started drifting off. I could feel Skylar's lips on my cheeks, as I drifted off to sleep. There's no way I can be falling for this girl. She's nothing like me.
Skylar's POV
Sammy fell asleep before he did, I kissed his cheek. As soon as he started snoring, I slipped out of his grip and snuck out of the tent. When I got outside, I went to sit on the truck to just look at the stars some more. After a couple minutes, I heard some leaves crack. I quickly hid behind the car and peeked out. There was a girl walking around the clearing. Without making a sound, I made my way to the other side of the car to get a better look.
Girl: You're not very sneaky. I can hear and see you. Who are you and what are you doing here?
Skylar: I could ask you the same thing.
Girl: Well, I asked first. So are you going to tell me or are you going to be stubborn?
Skylar: I'm a friend of Sammy's. He brought me here for a weekend away. Now who are you?
Girl: You'll figure out soon enough. Just be careful.
With that, she turned and walked off into the woods. At first I was going to follow her, but I realized I don't know these woods. I made my way back into the tent and laid down next to Sammy. First thing in the morning I'm going to tell Sammy what happened. Before long, I could feel myself starting to get tired. I curled up close to Sammy and slowly drifted to sleep, thinking about the girl I had seen. Who is she?
