Chapter 23

Addison’s POV

The Previous Week

Since the launch of my YouTube channel around a month and a half ago, I had gained a good 2,000 subscribers, and this collaboration with JacksGap will (hopefully) help me gain more. I’ll admit I was a little needy and desperate when I first started my channel, so I uploaded covers everyday. Eventually, I got some buzz and an email from Jack Harries himself. We exchanged phone numbers to make contact easy and even chatted a bit more apart from the email. I was ecstatic, to say the least, when he said he and his brother, Finn, wanted to do a collaboration with me. I’ve been following their channel since I saw their faces on Tumblr. I literally thought, “Who are these twins?” Luckily it wasn’t too hard to find out who they are and I got hooked on their videos almost immediately…once Finn became a more frequent presence in their videos, my little crush grew.

I was headed over to their house, which was not too far from my and Sarah’s apartment. I was nervous because I’d practically been crushing over these boys for quite awhile now and I was praying that I wouldn’t act all weird around them. When I reached their door I rang the doorbell and breathed in and out.

Suddenly the door swung open to reveal Jack. And I was positive it was Jack.

“Addison!” He greeted with a hug. I wasn’t expecting the gesture at all, so it took a few seconds before I could return his hug. He pulled back and motioned for me to come into the house.

“Finny! Addison’s here!” Jack yelled up the stairs, and I giggled at his nickname for Finn. These twins are so...British. Shortly after Jack called out to his brother, I saw Finn sprinting down the stairs and stopping right in front of me. He flashed his charming smile and I looked at him expectantly.

“Hello,” he said breathlessly.

“Hi,” I stuck my hand out for him to shake but, like his brother, he pulled me in for a hug instead. We sort of didn’t let go for quite awhile and Jack cleared his throat.

“Shall we proceed upstairs?” Jack suggested and I blushed and nodded. The boys raced up the stairs and I shook my head, as it was very typical for boys to do so. I quietly followed them and took a look at the pictures hanging on the wall next to the stairs. I smiled, seeing that Finn and Jack were always in the same place in any picture— Finn was always on the left, and Jack was always on the right. I wondered if it was on purpose or if it was a natural twin thing they did.

“Addison, where have you gone?” Finn said as he walked out of Jack’s bedroom. He smirked at me, seeing as I was examining their life in pictures. “Oh no, don’t look at that!” He laughed jokingly and covered his face with his hands.

“It’s fine, Finn. You guys were so cute,” I smiled as I forced his hands off his face.

“’Were’? What’s that supposed to mean?” We both laughed as he pushed me into Jack’s room. There, he was setting up the camera facing three chairs. I was more nervous than ever for this video.

“Finally, you guys,” Jack stuck his tongue out and Finn shoved him. I smiled at their antics. “How ‘bout we sit down for a bit and get to know each other more?” Jack grinned and I agreed. I can’t exactly make a video without feeling comfortable.

We crashed on the floor with nothing but a few cushions. They shared their interests (even though I already had a clear idea of it) and I shared mine. We even touched on the topic of romantic relationships, but I didn’t mention my relationship with Nathan. Well, I did, but I just didn’t say his name.

“Aw, what a dick,” Jack frowned and Finn just stared at me intently, seeming to agree on what Jack had just said-- telling them that the boy I was falling hard for left me for a better girl.

“Yeah, well, it happens,” I replied and they both hummed in response at the same time, taking me aback a bit. They laughed at my reaction.

“So shall we get this thing started?” Jack said, referring to the video, and clapped his hands together. Finn and I nodded and we sat on the chairs.

Basically, the whole point was to help the boys with singing, as that would be representing my own channel. We didn’t even try to be funny, but random things started happening and the twins were making fun of each other. I was literally the one stuck in the middle. After about an hour, we decided that we had captured enough of the chaos and chatted a bit more in their living room where we had tea.

And their beloved ginger biscuits.

At around 6 in the evening I reckoned it was time to leave. Besides, I was told Mr. and Mrs. Harries would be arriving soon, and I didn’t want to intrude. Much to the twins’ objections, they let me go and I gave them hugs before entering the taxi they called for me. Finn, being the “cheeky” boy that he is mouthed, “Call me” and winked at me before shutting the taxi door. I just laughed.

“Whoa, look at you!” Sarah joked as he put an arm around my shoulder whilst tiptoeing. She was much shorter than me, and she put me through the struggle of bending down just so she could put her arm around me. We stumbled to the living area and I went ahead to tell her about my day. As usual, she talked about hanging out with Jay. The Wanted were home once again, and for the second time I felt paranoid that I’d bump into Nathan somewhere in London.

“Are you happy, Sarah?” I asked her and she nodded dreamily. I’m glad that she’s happy with Jay.

“And you? I have a feeling about…Finny,” she laughed when she said Finn’s nickname. I simply giggled.

“I don’t know yet, Sare,” I rolled my eyes playfully and she just fangirled. But something was bugging me…for some reason Sarah’s reactions weren’t genuine. Did she not like Finn? Maybe she just has to meet him, because my hopes were pressing for something between Finn and I. Only time will tell, but I’m just happy I’m finally moving on from Nathan Sykes.

A/N: Alright people, that was chapter 23! I haven't been updating a lot recently, but that's because we're moving from Malaysia to Singapore. Our stuff is currently everywhere and being put into boxes, and I sadly spent my last day of school yesterday with all my beloved friends. I'll definitely miss them all-- just thinking about not seeing them everyday is making me all sad and mushy. However, I like to think that Malaysia and Singapore are not too far apart at all, and that it's easy to visit. The only issue are the difference in the school schedules, but I'm sure I'll still get to visit them and vice versa. I've dedicated this chapter to @theMyMylove as she is absolutely one of my best friends. Luv you <3

For the rest of you, please comment and vote! Till next time xx :)
