Chapter 11

Nathan’s POV

“And the boy’s back!” Max sang as I entered through the door. I must’ve had a goofy smile on my face the whole way home because I felt my cheeks quiver slightly.

“You took a while,” Jay winked. He’s right. I spent five hours with Addison, and in within those five hours we shared our secrets, childhood stories, stuff about our family, and our first kiss together. And maybe a few more kisses after that.

“Err, yeah,” I muttered, still grinning.

“Why so happy?” Max commented and my smile dropped as I gave him an “isn’t it obvious?” face.

“Lil’ Nath got some action?” Tom chided and I looked at him in genuine disbelief.

“No! We…kissed,” I blushed and the boys playfully nudged my arms and ribs and I swatted them off me.

“Like we said, we already approve of Addi; when’s your first date going to be?” Siva asked.

“Um, probably this weekend since she has got college to attend,” I replied and he nodded.

“So…give us the deets,” Tom said like a teenaged girl and I laughed and proceeded with the details.

“Nothing much really—“ I was cut off when Tom exclaimed, “That’s what they all say!”

“Anyway, I got there and we spent a bit of time getting to know each other more and then she said she had to do some course work for English, and she told me to sit on her bed and listen to her recite an excerpt,” I continued and Jay gave me a feigned, disgusted look. I knew he’d react to the bed part.

“I don’t know; I couldn’t help it. Just observing her…she’s perfect. I actually cut her off by kissing her. Then she just gave up on doing her homework altogether,” I chuckled. Okay, maybe not, since she initiated the kiss.

“You’re such a bad influence, Nathan,” Siva shook his head and Max mimicked Siva. I pursed my lips jokingly.

“Then we spent another hour after that watching random wildlife shows on the telly. I liked it-- sitting with her in silence. It was funny; Sarah didn’t come out of her room once, but it sounded like she was talking on the phone with someone…” I wondered out loud and glanced at Jay, and the other guys shrugged nonchalantly. Jay shifted in his seat.

I heard Siva giggle like a girl and we looked at him incredulously. “Yes, Siva?” Tom questioned and he shook his head with a smile on his face.

“Nothing, it’s just…Nathan’s a big boy now!” He whispered and we all rolled our eyes at him.

“Well, I like being a big boy, so suck it up.” I smirked. The rest of the boys went all fatherly on me, especially Siva, telling me to not screw things up, but that’s okay, because I have no such intentions.
