(Dylan's Point Of View)

After waking up inside the back of a navy-blue station Wagon next to a sleeping Jayden and a tired Teddy on the right, with Logan driving, Carter in shotgun and Howie fast asleep in-between. I rest my head on top of Jayden's while asking, "Where is the rest?"

Making Logan jump a little hearing my voice, "In the Ford behind us, you two were still asleep when we were ready to leave so we just put you guys in the back. We are heading off again towards WA, which is still about a day's drive." He says informing me.

After a few hours the cars slow to take a pit stop for petrol and toilets, I step out of the car after Teddy, Logan and Carter, leaving Jayden awake but drowsy and Howie still asleep.

I wonder off into the entrance of the petrol station and start to wonder, soon the door opens again and I turn around to see Jayden walking in after me looking around.

I walk towards the storage room and see a key laying on the ground in front of the door, as I pick it up I hear movement inside the storage move forcing me to jump back.

I slid in the key and turn it right unlocking the door, soon pulling it open.

As I look inside I see about three zombies racing to come out tumbling over the dead body. I squeal in surprise and start to run towards the door only for the zombies to follow me, and soon another zombie jumps out of nowhere and letting the other zombies surround me, I keep backing away until I hit the front desk and try to climb over it and hiding in the small space as the zombies try reaching me.

(Jayden's Point Of View)

As the zombies' corner Dylan, I realize this is the way I can do it, this is how I can die and free myself from this ongoing nightmare.

"Hey, you stupid little Bitches. Get The Fuck Away From My Little Sister." I scream at the monsters, making them turn to me and start coming towards me.

"Dylan Run." I yell for her to get out, as the zombies near and I pull out my sword, I may be ready to die, and I may want to die but I refuse to not put up a fight.

I'm sorry Dylan, I can't fight anymore but I know you will keep fighting, with or without me, you are strong after all.

(Dylan's Point Of View)

As I get outside I run to Logan, Teddy and Carter whose running towards me pulling out their weapons.

When we get back inside the store, ready to kill. We see two of the zombies roaming around. I leave them for the others and search for Jayden, when I come across the other two zombies lying dead on the floor and a blood trail leading away from them.

I turn the corner following the blood trail when I see Jayden laying there not moving a muscle, as I'm about to go to her, her eyes fly open but not her normal bright green eyes it's like her eyes have been glazed over and soon she starts coming at me trying to bite me but not close enough to touch me, I back away slowly staring in shock at the lifeless Jayden coming at me.

Soon Carter comes up behind me and sees what I'm seeing, she starts charging against Jayden but waits, then Logan appears behind me and grabs me slowly pulling me back as I start to scream I know they're going to kill her but maybe she can be cured. They can't do this, I start thrashing in his hold trying to make him release me, but he keeps his grip strong.

(Logan's Point Of View)

After Carter put Jayden out of her misery, I let Dylan go and she went racing back into the building, racing back to Jayden.

When I get inside I see Dylan sitting there hugging Jayden so tight it looked as if she was never going to let go.

After an hour of waiting Dylan was still sitting there with Jayden's lifeless body in her arms, now that it's getting dark I go in to grab Dylan before more zombies come, I think it would be best if we found an empty house to stay in tonight.

I try to pick Dylan up but she just refuses to let go.

"We need to go." I say firmly but still quiet.

"Not without her." She says shocking me. "I will not leave without her." I nod knowing if Carter had died I wouldn't leave without her but it's not like we can just cremate Jayden's body, it is the end of the world what are we supposed to do?

I sit down next to her and ask, "What do you want me to do?" tears forming in my eyes as I look at hers and see how broken they look.

"Can we please just put her in the car with us, I want her to be buried." She says quietly, I nod.

--------------

After we loaded the car with Jayden and Dylan in the back me and Teddy in the front, the rest piled into the Ford.

Once we get into the town we search for a house one that would be a good place to bury Jayden.

We drive up a hill and this beautiful two-story house appears, and Dylan points at it saying, "That's the house."

------------

After burying Jayden in the back yard of the big house, everyone starts to relax and seems like they aren't really fazed too much by the death, they seem a little sad, but I guess once you experienced as much death as we have it starts to become normal. But then when I look at Dylan I can see she's full of sadness and it's radiating off her.

I try to go and comfort her but as soon as I sit down she leaves.

(Dylan's Point Of View)

I walk away from Logan and onto the balcony only to look at our destroyed world. As I look at the empty new world, I think about how it use to be busy but alive. Now it's dead and unwanted. No one is who they use to be and anyone who was is now dead, leaving the rest of use to change and adapt to this new world and there is no real way of bringing back the old world, for that world is dead and this is its replacement.

It starts to rain calming me a little only for an old forgotten memory appears in my mind, it's a memory of Jayden and I when we were about 8 and 10, it started to rain and thunder, making Jayden scream from fear, she always thought the thunder was terrifying. I remember she would get out of her bed and shove me over, so she could fit in mine whenever it started to thunder.

I smile a little at my last thought before more tears come crying out once again, I have lost my big sister...

I walk into the back yard and lay down with her one last time in the rain.
