Zerena's POV (of last chapter)

As I walked down the stairs I swear my heart stopped for a second when I saw Dean in his tux. I almost fainted, I had to look away. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I looked at Dean.

"You look beautiful sweety!" My mom exclaimed as she looked over my attire.

"Thanks mom. Ready to go?" I looked at Dean, pleading that we left now.

He smiled and nodded, "ya."

I walked up to him and he put his hand on my lower back guiding me to the door. He handed me a bouquet of red roses and I thanked him looking at them in adoration.

"Not before pictures!" My mom exclaimed.

I groaned and turned and smiled at her mom. "Only for you mom," my mouth twitched at having to hold in my snarky remark.

Dean softly chuckled and I looked at him weirdly. "I can tell how hard you're trying to not let loose on your mom," he whispered. I gave a knowing look and smiled.

After a number of pictures being taken we were finally released to the world outside. I looped my hand in his elbow and he led me to the car, opened and closed my door for me and then got into the drivers seat. He started the engine and we were off.

As we walked into the gymnasium where the dance was being held, my eyes wandered around, looking in amazement at the decorated gym. They honestly did a great job with the setup. They had ice sculptures sitting at the entrance and snowflakes and icy blue confetti scattered on the floor and ceiling, along with fake light blue flower petals all over the stage.

"Wanna dance?" He whispered in my ear.

I nodded and he guided me to the floor. We swayed to the beat of the song until the end of it. Then a slow song came on.

He froze and zoned out a bit.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked.

"I didn't know if you wanted to dance to the slow song or not. And I kinda freaked out," he admitted quietly.

I started laughing. "Stop laughing. It's making me feel uncomfortable," He said, though he couldn't help but smile.

"Aww, is de bad wolf shy?" I asked in a mocking baby voice.

"Shut up," He playfully nudged my shoulder.

"Just dance with me," I smiled and grabbed his hands leading them to my waist. Then I placed my hands on the back of his neck and we began to sway.

I leaned my head on his chest and tightened my hold on his neck.

"Something bothering you?" He asked in a sweet tone.

I gave a slight nod. "Wanna tell me about it?" He asked.

I sighed, "I don't want this song to end," I said quietly.

"I don't either," He said.

Then his eyes lit up, "here come on, I have an idea," He took my hand and led me back to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see," was all he said.

He stopped at a Walmart and went in and came out with some sandwiches, drinks, lanterns and a small blanket.

He then stopped at his house and grabbed his speaker. He drove to the lake and found a grassy area right by the shore. He hung the lanterns in the trees and spread the small blanket on the grass. He placed down the food and hooked his phone up to the speaker.

"Wanna tell me what you're doing now?" I asked, still processing what was happening.

He played a slow song and took my hands, leading me closer to the shore.

"Take a guess," he whispered in my ear.

I looked around and my eyes widened when it hit me. "You just thought of this and acted on it?"

"Yep," he smiled sheepishly, "do you like it?"

"I love it," I grinned and he turned me around so my back was pressed to his chest as we swayed to the beat.

"Glad to hear it," he kissed my temple softly and placed his chin on my head. I loved the electricity that flowed through me at his touch. I was starting to like Dean, a lot. I might even be falling for him.

We danced for what seemed like hours but just mere minutes. Just me in his arms and us swaying to the rhythm of the songs that played.

"Can I just stay here for...forever?" I whispered. I felt comfortable and safe in his arms. It sent a warm feeling through me.

He chuckled softly, "only if you want to."

He turned me back around so I was facing him and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Good. I honestly don't want to move," I said leaning my head on his chest.

He sat down and brought me down onto his lap. "This ok?"

I nodded and yawned.

"Someone's tired," he teased.

"Shut up," I lightly punched his shoulder, "it's the music."

"Uh huh. Sure it is."

I looked up at me, "Dean?"

"Yes, angel?" That nickname could grow on me.

"Why do you like me so much?"

He thought about it for a moment. "There are lots of reasons. I like when you stick up for yourself, I like how you don't care if someone doesn't like you, I like how you have so many friends and is close to every single one of them in your own way. I like how cute you look when you scrunch up your nose or play with your hair when your nervous. I find it funny when your mouth twitches because you have to hold in one of your snarky remarks, or when you argue with your brother how you're always smiling. I love how you open up to me and how you don't hide yourself. I love that you can walk around with your head held high and be comfortable in your own skin without having to change yourself to feel like you belong. Zerena I'm pretty sure I'm falling for you," he looked straight into my eyes as he leaned in.

He brushed his lips against mine before closing the small gap between us and pressing his lips to mine. Sparks flew everywhere and I completely lost my train of thought.
