Zerena's POV
We walked into the court house and walked down a hallway to my mom's lawyer's office. We knocked before entering and sat down at the table with my mom's lawyer, Demetre.
"So you wanna divorce your husband, huh?" Demetre asked.
My mom nodded, "I had the papers filled out years ago. We just have to renew them and get him to sign them."
"I'm aware," Demetre started, "I already got the new papers printed. All you have to do to sign them and then get Mr. Carter to sign them and you'll be set."
"Lovely," my mom answered.
Demetre pulled out the papers and handed them to my mother. She looked each one over carefully and signed where it was needed. After half an hour I pulled out my phone and texted Dean.
Bored as hell. Get me outta here -Zerena

Mom's signing the renewed papers to divorce Darik. After that, she just has to get him to sign them and we'll be done. She'll keep the house and us kids, full custody, and he'll get to keep his company -Zerena

"Alright, I think that's it," my mom said looking up.
Gotta go, almost done -Zerena

I put my phone back in my pocket as my mom shook hands with Demetre and Seth and I walked out with mom on our heels.
"How about we go do something together? Have a mother child day. Is that even a thing?" Mom asked.
Seth and I laughed. "Probably not but we can make it one," I said.
