"Time for what, Zerena?" Dean asked as I pulled him to the tracks.

"Race," I pecked his lips and walked to my car.

"Race?!" He called after me. I turned and winked at him before getting in my car.

"To the start line!" Jedd called, he ran our races. We pulled up to the start line and waited for the signal to go.

The signal came and I sped off keeping the lead during the whole race. I pulled up to the finish line just before Logon did. I walked to his car and stuck out my hand.

He handed me my couple hundred and I stuffed in my pocket. "Isn't that illegal sweetheart?" Dean whispered in my ear and snaked his arms around my waist from behind.

I leaned into him, "well the racing isn't. Now the way we use money with the betting and paying if you lose, that's illegal. But we've never got caught so who cares," I shrugged.

He chuckled and spun me around so I was facing him. "You are one interesting person."

"But I keep you on your toes," I smiled and tried to walk away, "oh come on Dean, that was a perfect dramatic exit and you just wrecked it."

He chuckled, "but I'm not done with you."

"But I need to go the office," I argued with a smile on my face, "I gotta do stuff. We don't just race here."

"Alright," he groaned and took my hand. I led him to the office and filled out the paper saying that I raced and won. And all that stuff.

"Alright, we can go," I said and we walked out to my car, but not my race car. I leave that one here in the garage.

Dean's POV

"So Seth knows that you..." I started.

"Race," Zerena finished for me. I nodded, "yes. Seth knows that I race. Seth also knows about Logon and all that stuff."

"Huh? Who woulda known?" I smirked to myself and turned to look at Zerena.

She noticed a minute later and quickly looked back at the road, blushing, "what?"

I smiled knowing the affect I had on her, "nothing. Just looking at my beautiful angel."

Her cheeks darkened, "stop it," she smiled.

"Stop what? I didn't do anything," I paused then smirked. I leaned over so when I spoke my lips would graze her ear, "unless, you want me to do something," I whispered huskily and pulled back.

Her face turned a crimson shade. I chuckled at how adorable she looked.

"T-thats n-not fu-funny," she stumbled over her words which only made me laugh harder.

"You're cute when you blush," I spoke my thoughts.

Her grip on the steering wheel tightened, her knuckles white and her face a bright crimson color. She focused on the road with a blank expression.

We pulled up in front of her house and she quickly cut the engine and got out. She rushed up the stairs and to her room, closing the door behind her. I chuckled again and stopped at Seth's door. I opened it to find him playing his xbox.

  "Hey Seth," I called.

He barely acknowledged me other than his quick hey.

I sighed, knowing I wasn't gonna get to him while he was playing his game. I walked out and knocked on Zerena's door.

  "Hey Angel?" I called.

  "Ya?" I heard her whisper.

  "Gonna let me in?"

"I dunno. Should I?" She answers sarcastically.

"Oh how I love your sarcasm."

I heard the door knob being fumbled with before the door opened to reveal a distressed looking Zerena. I narrowed eyebrows in confusion.

"Zerena what's wrong?" I stepped towards her. She stepped back. Hurt flashed across my face but it was gone as soon as it had appeared.

"I just need a minute," she sat on her bed and hugged her knees.

I sat beside her, "what happened?"

  "My da..."

"Dad's coming home!" Seth barged in, yelling, "like now."

I quickly looked at Zerena, there were tears streaming down her face. "Oh baby," I pulled her into my lap.

She snuggled closer and cried. I held her close and looked up at Seth. "Pack her a bag then go get yours. We're leaving once your done."

Seth nodded and quickly packed their bags. I tossed him my keys, since my car was here, and carried Zerena bridal style downstairs.

We were stopped by the front door opening and their father, Darik, walking in. "Shit," Seth cursed under his breath. Zerena looked to see why we stopped and quickly looked away, getting as close to me and as far away from her father as possible.

"Where are you going?" Darik asked.

"Away," Seth said with a blank expression.

"Why? I just got home," he answered.

"Exactly," Seth spat and we quickly walked out to my car.

Seth peeled out of the driveway and I held Zerena closer. "Shh, baby. It's ok. We're gone. You'll be ok," I tried to reassure her.

She still cried and curled up more. I held her tight until we reached my house. I carried Zerena up to my room and placed her on the bed. I was about to just leave her and walk away when she grabbed my arm. "Don't go," she whispered.

I nodded, "as you wish," and sat down on the bed, pulling her onto my lap.

"Did you just make a Princess Bride reference?" She sniffed.

I chuckled, "that I did."

She rolled her eyes, "god you really are weird," she teased, still sad.

"I know," I grinned at her, "now I'm gonna go help your brother real quick, ok?"

She nodded and crawled off my lap. I kissed the top of her head and walked downstairs to see Seth struggling with the bags. I grabbed Zerena's bag from him.

"You still gonna stay in my room or take the guest room?" I asked.

"Guest," he said through gritted teeth.

"Seth I know that it sucks having him as a dad, but you're gonna have to deal with it 'till your mom gets home."

"And why's that?" He spat.

"So you two can talk. I don't think she's too happy with him either," I said.

His expression softened and he continued walking to the guest room. "Night Seth!" I called after him.

"Night Dean, tell my sister I said goodnight," with that he shut his door.

I walked back to my room and smiled when I saw Zerena in some of my clothes and sound asleep. I placed her bag on the couch and got under the covers next to her. I pulled her close and fell asleep as well.
