The boys want to go motor-crossing today
I don't and I won't be riding one of those things because I actually like my life
"Why not?" Elton asked me for the hundredth time from next to me
He's very concerned about me not wanting to ride that death trap
"I don't want to die, Elton" I said from the backseat
Yeah, Heath made me sit in the back since he "always sits back here" which isn't true at all because it's usually Heath or I driving
They have a friend named Justin, I think. Apparently he's a professional motor-crosser? What are they called?
I don't even know how Elton and Heath know someone like that but they do
We pulled up to a place with a house-type thing and a whole lot of dirt
Why isn't this called dirt-biking? You're biking on dirt
"There's Justin" Elton pointed when we got out of the car
We walked up to him and he shook hands with the boys
"And who are you?" He asked, flirtatiously
Oh, no
"I'm Elena" I said while shaking his hand
"Are you gonna be riding?" He asked
"No" I said
"Good, I wouldn't want to watch a pretty girl like you get hurt"
I could see Heath tensing up next to me
"Okay" I said
That was enough to get Heath in a bad mood
Elton decided that Heath should go first
He did
He got on the bike with the help of Justin
I swear he was gonna hit him
Justin didn't even realize how much Heath hated him
Elton left to go get changed, leaving Justin and I alone together while Heath rode around on the beginner track
"So, how've you been?" Justin asked
"Leave me alone" I said while keeping an eye on Heath
He was doing fine, not going very fast at all
Suddenly he fell off
I ran up to him so fast
"Heath, are you okay?" I said while crouching down next to him
"Yeah" He said, out of breath
"Get that damn thing off of him" I demanded Justin
He did
"What happened?" I asked Heath
"I turned too fast and flipped off. I'm fine, princess"
I was glad that he used the nickname. Maybe Justin would catch on and leave me alone
We all walked back to where Heath started so that Elton could go now
He came out of the bathroom while we were walking up
"Did you eat shit?" Elton asked
"Shut up" Heath said
Elton was like a pro. He already knew how to start it and he was going around the track like he owned it
That left me alone with Justin and Heath
Justin was smart enough to not make any comments while Heath was around
Lucky for me, Heath said he had to use the bathroom. Leaving me, once again, alone with Justin
At first he didn't say anything but then he said "You could do better"
"Excuse me?" Why do people keep telling me that I could do better than Heath?
"You can do better than him. You could have any guy, why him?"
"Why do you care?" I asked
"Because you're hot"
"Too bad I'm taken"
"That is too bad. We could have some fun, though. Heath doesn't have to know"
Did he seriously just say that?
"Why would you even say that? What makes you think I would cheat on someone? Especially someone I love?" *(Ha, oops)*
"Sorry, I didn't realize you love him"
"Yeah, me either" I said quietly
Luckily, Justin didn't have time to say anything else because Heath came back
Elton said he was done riding and Heath agreed so we left
I said I wanted Mexican so that's what we got
We ate and went to our hotel (Again, don't ask, It's for the sake of the story)
Heath and I went to our room and Elton went to his
Heath and I decided to just relax and watch a movie
We were about halfway through (500) Days of Summer when I got a text from Elton
From: Big Brother
Come to my room, please
"I'll be right back. Elton told me to go to his room" I told Heath but he didn't even look up from the movie
I knocked on Elton's door but it was already open
Weird
"What's up?" I asked while sitting on the bed
"Since when do you love Heath?" He asked
"What?" I asked, surprised
The only person I told was Justin, and that was an accident. And it's not like Justin would tell anyone I said that, his ego is too big
"I had the camera rolling to do a time-lapse of the motor-crossing and it picked up your and Justin's conversation while I was riding"
"Oh" What do you say to that?
"Did you mean it?" He asked
"Of course I meant it" That's not something you lie about
"Have you told him?"
"No, I just realized today"
"You should tell him"
"But, how? It's not like I can just casually slip it into a conversation"
"I don't know, but he deserves to know"
He was right. Elton was right, that's new
Now the question is, how do I tell Heath I love him?
