20. Date?

Elena's POV

Thankfully, Savannah was gone by the time I got up the next morning

But so was Heath

Knowing him, he was probably at McDonald's or something

I went into the bathroom and took a shower

When I got out, sure enough, there was Heath. Eating McDonald's

Do I know him or what?

"What'd you get me?" I asked, scaring him

After he calmed down, he answered me "Pancakes and sweet tea"

It's nice that we both know each other pretty well

"Thank you"

We ate in silence because the food was so good

"Where are we going today?" I asked after I was done eating

"I dunno. Ask Elty" He said while a mouthful 

He's so hot. I laughed at my own thoughts and he looked at me weird. I just shook my head, he didn't wanna know

I left the house to go find Elton

After searching the whole house, I finally found him in Scotty's room

"Where are we going today?" I asked him while laying on Scotty's bed

"No where. We're staying here an extra day" 

"Cool" I said, leaving. There was nothing for me in there anymore

I went back into the other house to tell Heath we weren't going anywhere

"Elton said we're not going anywhere today"

"Great, be ready by 5" He said leaving the house

Did he just not hear what I said?

It was only 2 so I had time before I had to "get ready"

I decided that I didn't want to stay here for 3 hours before I had to do, whatever I was doing, with Heath. So I texted Liza, asking if she wanted to hang out

She did, so she drove over

You're probably wondering why I never drive when we're home. I obviously can drive because I drive the RV, but I refuse to drive in LA and if you've ever been to LA, you know why

In a matter of minutes, Liza was in the driveway

She said that she wanted to go clothes shopping so we went to The Grove

We went into Forever 21 and I found a really pretty dress that I wanted, so I got it

That was the only thing I got, but Liza had her arms filled with bags when we left. I decided to be a good friend and help her carry them

We got home at 4:45 so I thought it would be a good time to "get ready" for whatever Heath and I were doing

I decided to wear the dress I bought today because, whatever we were doing, it was fine for it

I was surprisingly ready by 5, when Heath came in the house asking if I was ready to go

I said I was and we got in the car, him driving obviously

"So where are we going?" I asked, right when we pulled out of the driveway 

He just turned up the music

"Is it fun?" I asked while turning the music down

"You wanna ruin the surprise?" He smirked

"Kinda. I don't like surprises"

"I know" He said, still smirking

After driving for about half an hour and getting ignored by Heath, we pulled up to a restaurant

"We're gonna eat dinner?" I asked

"No, we're here to rock climb" He said sarcastically

"Well why are you dressed up so much? This isn't a place where you dress up" Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that he was wearing a button down and pants, not jeans, and no hat

"Shush" He said while getting out of the car and running to my side

He opened my door and I got out, scared

"You're never like this, what's happening?"

"You'll see"

He's gonna murder me, isn't he?

We walked up to the door, hand in hand, that wasn't weird, but he walked in front of me and held the door open. That was weird, usually he walks in first and just holds his hand on it until I walk through but he stood outside holding the door until I got in

"This is so weird" I said, laughing and shaking my head

He ignored me and went up to get us a table

"Two for Hussar" He said while holding up two fingers

He made a reservation? Who is this? This isn't Heath.

Matter of fact, none of this is Heath. He doesn't like fancy food and this place is pretty fancy. He would rather go to a food truck than be here

"Right this way, sir" The hostess told Heath

I followed them, still very confused

I was more confused than I've ever been in my whole life until we got to our table, all the way in the back with a rose and candles on the table. Different from everyone else's

This was a date. Why didn't he just say that?

We sat down and the hostess gave us our menus before leaving

"Why didn't you just tell me it was a date?" I laughed

"Because I've never done this before, and we're dating so I didn't know if I was supposed to ask you or something" He said, blushing

"I think you did just fine. I love this" I told him honestly
