27. The Video

Elena's POV

I walked out of Elton's room, right passed Heath, and into the main house

"Show me the video" I said, ignoring everyone else and just focusing on my brother

"I don't think you want to see it" Elton said trying to calm me down

"Elton. I get it, you're looking out for me or whatever and thank you, but I need to know if he's telling the truth"

"Okay. Wait, what? You talked to him?" 

"No, he slipped a note under the door"

He ignored me and went to the car to get his camera

We decided to take over Scotty's room since I didn't want to watch a video of my boyfriend potentially cheating on me with other people looking at me

Elton started the video and it was just them in the car so I told him to fast forward

He stopped at the part where they got to the beach and everything is playing out like Heath said

They got there, Gabby helped him put on his wet suit and called him baby, they went swimming, she attached herself to him, he pushed her

And then the part I'm watching it for happened

She kissed him

She actually kissed him

And he pushed her

He pushed her off, walked back over to where Elton was and just sat down, putting his head in his hands

It looked like he was crying

But why?

"He told me after that he was crying here because he figured you were gonna leave him" Elton said quietly

Oh wow

I said nothing and just kept watching

Gabby came over to Elton and just mumbled "I wanna go home"

And they did, they packed up, got in the car, dropped Gabby off, and then came back to our house

Somewhere along the way, Elton punched Heath but he didn't record that

"So?" Elton asked after the video finished

"He did nothing wrong so it's not like I can hold some grudge against him or anything" I said

Elton didn't seem to like that

"But he kissed another girl!" 

"Elton, he really didn't. She kissed him, he pushed her off."

"But he kissed her back"

"No he didn't. Don't you think I was watching them closely enough to be looking for that?"

"I saw him" He said quietly

"Elton, I get it. You want to protect me from any potential harm but I'm old enough to make my own decisions and I've decided to forgive him."

"How could you do that?" He yelled

"He did nothing but push her!" I yelled back

"He put his lips on another woman and you're just gonna go forgive him?"

"No he didn't! She put her nasty lips on his and he took them off"

"You're so bias" 

"And so are you" I said, leaving

No one in the living room bothered to say anything when I left, knowing I was annoyed at Elton

I walked back into the other house and saw Heath, right where he was when I left

He looked very hopeful

I sat down next to him but didn't say anything

"Did you watch it?" He asked

"I did"

"And?" 

"There's nothing to be mad at. You did nothing" I said

"So you forgive me?"

"I do"

"Thank god" He mumbled and came over to kiss me

"But.." I said

"No, no. Not but. We don't need it. We're good, everything's good. There doesn't need to be a but" He said quickly

"I think we should slow things down"

"What do you mean?" 

"You know what I mean. We've only been dating for a little over a month and already said 'I love you'-"

"Yeah, but I can't help how I feel Elena. I can't just tell myself to stop feeling certain things for you" He cut me off

"And I get that but this all seems a little rushed. Like we're trying to get it all over with and I don't like that. I want to be able to look forward to things. Doing everything and having it 'out of the way' is for married couples"

"You're right. I'll stop rushing things" 

"Thank you" 

"On one condition"

"What?"

"You have to kiss me" He laughed

And I did

HAHA. You guys hate me don't you? Yes I had her forgive him quickly, but put yourself in that situation. Would you have held a grudge over literally nothing? Heath did nothing wrong. It's all that witch Gabby.
