We had been hiding in the trees for a half an hour now, and the Moderatoris weren't going anywhere. My eyes were getting sore from keeping them open. I was exhausted. They weren't going anywhere.

'Hey Jack, what do we do now?'

'Wait. Until we get a distraction.'

'Distraction?, What are you talking about?

'Be ready, Avalon'

I blinked my eyes to clear my mind. There was going to be some sort of distraction. I shook Gav's shoulders to wake him up. I whispered the "plan" to him, and he nodded. Jack suddenly got up.

'Cover Gav's ears, Avalon'

I covered his ears, when Jack pushed a button. The food court exploded, and the sound resonated throughout the empty parking lot. The three of us got up and got into the air.

'We should meet at the park. It's near the middle of the city. I'll meet you there with Gav'

'Ok. Where are you going?'

'I need to pick something up, Avalon. '

I flew over the buildings, hidden in the low clouds with Gav.

"So where did Jack go?", Gav asked me.

"I don't know, he's said that he was going to get something."

"Oh. Don't you think It's a little weird."

"What? The wings, The lab, or Moderatoris." I chuckled dryly.

"No, I meant Jack. He's related to the director of the lab, and he knows a lot about this experiment"

I sighed and answered "I don't know, Gav. All I know is that he's on our side."

The park was nearing, so we landed in an alley, and walked the rest of the way. We spotted Jack there, and walked to him. He smiled when he saw us.

'We are going to be going to my NYC apartment, Avalon'

'Oh, cool.'

'Are you guys hungry?'

'I could eat a horse right now'

'Great, let's go'
