Chapter 10: Skeletons

"So how was your walk pup?", Beck jeers.

"Shut up Beck."

"Not so good I guess."

"Oh it was good. She got a hug.", Em says as she sits down.

I don't see any bruises on Em's face which is good, "How'd it go last night?"

"Oh you mean after you left? We made up."

"Good."

"Really? You guys are still fucking behind Jack-o'-lantern's back?", Sam says.

I stay quiet. It's not my place to say anything.

"You know, Kade, you need a woman mate."

"I am a woman", Em barks.

"Barely", Beck jeers. It's a boob joke because Em's boobs aren't that big.

"Fuck you.", Em barks at Beck.

"What I mean is a woman of your own.", Sam says.

"I really don't. Why would I want to deal with what Em deals with?", Beck collapses, laughing her ass off. Em glares at Beck even though I said it. Sam even lets out a chuckle.

"Alright then, I'm just saying. Oh and Em, we need to talk.", Sam says.

"Whyyyyyy??", Em whines.

I stand up, "I'm heading to class today."

"Alright.", Sam says, "Might as well, nothing else to do anyways."

"Me too!", Em jumps up.

Sam grabs her, "After our talk.", Em whines as she's dragged away. We have the next class together so she probably doesn't want to miss it.

I arrive to my history class and sit down. I pull my hoodie over my head. I only go to be counted as present. Mom has taught me so much that I'm basically way ahead of everyone.

"Good morning class.", says Ms. Whatever the fuck her name is. We'll call her Ms. Wutfuni. Haha! I like that.

"Sorry I'm late.", Em runs in and sits next to me.

"Hmm yes well today we'll be studying a unique part of history that you may have been briefed on before: The Legend of Artemis Pierce. Now can anyone raise their hand and tell me what they know about...", there's a click, "This woman?"

"Holy shit Kade is that you?!", I look back at Em glaring. I know she did this just to draw attention to me. She loves doing that when I'm zoning out.

I look forward and the class is staring at me in shock. I look at the picture and I too am shocked.

Artemis Pierce looks like Mom. She looks like me too.

"Well then. Fun fact Kaideen Pine and Artemis Pierce look like identical twins besides eye, hair, and skin color. Anyone else?", Ms. Wutfuni says.

"I know that she was the founder and leader of the SF!"

"Good."

"She loved the opera."

"Where the hell'd you get that information?"

"She became a part-time educator after eradicating the men!"

"Correct."

"Her last living descendant is missing along with Abidemi Ba's and it is said that they ran away together."

"Where'd you get this information?"

"It was on a theory website."

"I heard they were abducted!"
