Chapter 30: Final

"WHERE THE FUCK IS MY FAMILY?!"

I shove forward through the crowd, "Hailey!", she sees me, jumps off the couch and runs straight into my arms. "Sorry everyone! This is my crazy fiancé!" The other descendants go about their business and I sigh in relief kissing the top of Hailey's head.

"What took you so long?", my chest gets warm and I can feel her sob against me.

"Were you scared?"

"Terrified. The lady at the window wouldn't tell me anything and said that our engagemt ring is nothing but an expensive promise ting and I flipped out and she called the gaurds and...and...!", she sobs harder. I rub her head reassuringly. "And your friends!", I look up and scan the crowd of unnatural richy rich hair colors and spot Sam's tall figure. Hailey turns around and I lead us over to them.

"Kade! Jeez worry us sick why doncha?", Sam says.

"Your crazy fiancé went total Hailstorm and almost got us all pummeled by security.", Em says.

"It was pretty funny though", Beck laughs.

I smile hugged my beautiful girl from behind.

"So what did take you so long? Shouldn't you have come out running?", Sam asks.

"See I would've but I ran into my grandmothers."

Hailey gasps, "R-really?"

I smile at her shock and nod, "We're going out for dinner after this."

She turns around, "Me too?"

I roll my eyes, "Duh. I told you, you're already a part of my family."

She buries her head on my chest and mumbles.

"Hmm?"

"Hurry up and marry me already...!", my heart skips a beat and smile again despite my cheeks hurting from smiling so much.

"Do we get free food too?", Beck asks and I smirk.

"Of course I can treat you guys.", If they thought I was well off before, now I have so much that I could use it as toilet paper. I get all of the money that's been saved up for the Pierce and Ba families up until now.

"Woo! Free food!", Sam cheers and high fives Beck and Em.

"I knew there had to be some reward for waiting in the cold office all day.", Em says sarcastically. I know she was just as scared as everyone else. I punch her in the shoulder playfully and she smiles and shrugs.

"Kaideen", I turn to the sound of my mother's voice.

"Now come meet your new grandmothers.", I whisper to Hailey. She looks up at them and runs to Mama who embraces her. Mom pats her head like she does mine. I follow behind her. Hailey turns to our grandmothers.

"Hi I'm Hailey. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"The pleasure's all mine.", Grandma Megan replies.

"Yay we have two granddaughters to spoil rotton for the next two years", Grandma Andorra coos, "To make up for these years we've missed."

"Two daughters to teach some discipline to. What are you wearing?", Grandma Megan asks me and I shrug, "Oh why am I asking you? Why does my granddaughter look like a delinquent?"

Mom smiles sheepishly, "Working is hard."

"Nice excuse.", we all laugh.

9 years later. Hailey and I got married right after graduation. We attended the academy together for and the descendants of my generation were actually quite accepting. I guess that's the power of being a Pierce. Three years later we had our twin daughters. We had to have two so that one could carry on the Ba line and the other carry the Pierce. Andorra is the Pierce and Xandra is the Ba. Both were, luckily, born as normal girls so the world is balanced once again. Sam, Em, and Beck stay in contact and turn up once in a while for family gatherings but after the academy they set off to enjoy their own lives. Beck even got married last year. She used to brag about being single too. Sam and Em got married the day after graduation. They wanted to "beat us" it was Em's idea, of course. She had successfully riled Hailey's feathers.

"Mooooom!!", I sit up, close the photo album, and catch Xandra who came running for me.

"What is it baby girl?"

"It's dinner time!"

"Ah yum I'm starving.", I pick up my four year old daughter and head to the dinning room. I sit at the table and a little hand places utensils next to me. I look down and see flame haired Aurora. "Helping Mama set the table?"

"Yeah!", she smiles.

"Thanks for helping sweetie!", Hailey says exiting the kitchen with two plates.

I smile at her.

"Stop looking at me like that, you perv.", she places the plates.

"I can't help it. You're beautiful.", she leans over and gives me a peck on the lips. "I love you."

"I love you too Kaidee."
