I rolled over in my fluffy bed, opening my eyes. My arm felt sore yet I wasn't sad today.

I'm not sad today.

I slightly smiled, staring outside my window. I heard rain beating against the roof, and against the window. Rain drops dripping down the glass frame.

I didn't have a nightmare today. I didn't dream about my family, about Alex, it was nothing. It was peaceful. First in a million.

I sighed.

It will never happen. I sat up and felt knots in my hair. It's been a month since I had cut my hand, and yesterday I tried removing the brace, yet I realized the mistake. It wasn't fully healed yet i was able to switch to a flexible hand brace rather than the metal. I'm quite happy at the fact that... I'm not affected that much anymore. Maybe it's those new pills my doctor prescribed me about a month ago. Whatever it is, I'm just. Fine.

Everything seems to be normal.

Honestly.
I grabbed my phone from the nightstand, scrolling through twitter. I rolled my eyes as I read the headline.

"Lisa Francis in jail again for the possession of heroin..."

Really? I laughed bitterly.

She could do so much better, I mean it's my .... Mother.

The fact that she lost me didn't even give her a wake up call to stop doing whatever the fuck she was doing previously. She had the perfect chance to drop everything, all the drugs, the .... She could've stopped it.

Guess losing your daughter isn't good enough.

I tossed my phone and walked over to the bathroom when i heard a knock on the door.

It's raining hell right now. Who's at my damn door. I ran down the stairs and peeped through the window.

My two best friends.

I opened the door to see them drenched in water, standing there with smiles on their faces. I rolled my eyes and walked away to the bathroom to get them towels and some new clothing that they always leave in my house.

"What the hell are you guys doing outside?" I asked them.

"Well we were at this basketball court, and it started raining, and like your house was here so we just ran over here." Hayden explained.

I tossed them the towels, and I tossed them both two baby blue over sized shirt saying THE 1975.

"Um."

I shrugged my arms and Hayden walked upstairs to change.

"Honestly you guys are a trip." I laughed. Julian scrunched up his eyebrows.
