♦-Riley's P.O.V-♦

I scrambled with the phone in my hand, dialing the 10 digit numbers so quick, you would think I am Superman.

"Hey."

"Get here now. Please."

"How bad?"

"Really bad. She cracked."

"On my way."

"Thank you." I breathed.

"I knew I shouldn't have left. I  could've stopped it." I heard the guilt flood into his words.

"No, Julian, there was no way you could've stopped it. It's not your fault. It had to happen." There was a long pause, followed by a sigh.

"Riley, you can't break right now, just comfort her until I get there. I'm almost there."

"Okay. I won't. Bye." I whispered, gnawing on my lip.

"Bye."

I tossed my phone across the room, ignoring the crunch of the screen breaking before bolting down the stairs and running to Cassandra. She sat lopsided against the door, screaming and crying, while clutching her chest.

"Cassandra, it's okay, shh, it's okay." I wrapped my arms around her and rocked her, but it didn't help.

None of this was helping.

Her body was shaking like if someone threw her into Antarctica's water, and she screamed like if someone was stabbing her, killing her.

"Come on Casey, You can get through this. Come on." I tried lifting her up, but her body went limp and plopped right back against the door, her head banging against the door in the process.  She clutched her head, but that seemed to have been the least of her worries at the moment.

"No! I- I c-can't!" She wheezed.

This was it. This was her breaking point.

This is what broke her.

Large knocks pounded against the door and I slid Cassandra over the side, and opened the door, and instantly relief filled me.

"Thank you." I quickly threw my arms around him, and he did too before letting go and crouching over to her.

"Let's go Cass." Julian whispered, lifting her up and carried her weakened body up the stairs. I followed behind, and opened the door to her room and climbing onto the bed to sit next to her. Julian held her tight, but nothing seemed to work. What seemed like minutes, turned into hours quickly.

Nothing is working.

Why is nothing working?

I ran out the room when I couldn't stand it anymore, and into the large backyard that over looks Los Angeles. I took in a deep breath, taking in all the fresh air. It felt like I had a migraine, and nothing could fix it. Tears slowly welled up in my eyes, but blinked them away.
