This one might be a bit weird.
Hestia only gave up her seat on Olympus because she was secretly in love with Dionysus. So when he married his wife, she became a small child, so no man would ever lover her. Only when her and Dionysus talk is when she turns into a beautiful young woman. But Hestia couldn't bear to watch the unfolding romance, so she let herself fade. Maybe then she would find true love in the afterlife.
