Gerald POV

"Marty isn't there someone else we can ask for help?" It wasn't that I didn't wanna see her, it's just that I didn't wanna see that face again. The face that fucking made me feel more than any other girl. We moved on though. Well technically we did, I mean I cheated and that was the end of the story. In fact I cheated with Devon, my current girlfriend whom I now cheated on every night I could. It was all a fucked up story so to speak.

"No because we need to finish it and our budget is already way over and the album needs to be done. Plus she's smart, the freaking studio burning down and them wanting to sue us isn't helping." I glanced up at the torched building, taking a drag of my blunt before looking to Grady. For once he seemed nervous, after all this was his fault. Marty sighed and started the car, a half hour drive and were at her building. My gut was churning as the elevator shot us up to the top floor. There sat a petite blood, typing away till we approached.

" Hello gentleman, can I help you?" She adjusted her glass before flashing a smile.

"Is Daniella here?"

"Miss Evans should be in by nine, do you want to wait?"

"Sure tell her Marty is here. She'll know." She stood after typing his name carefully into the computer before showing us the waiting room. There sat a well dressed man, typing away on his phone before sitting back.

"Can I get you anything? Coffee?" We all shook our heads before sitting down and she left the room. The well dress man stood and put his phone up to his ear.

"Hey Stacey... Yeah I'm at my ex-wife's... I dunno... She doesn't know about it... I mean I was already on my way to getting divorced." The short girl walked in with a pile of paper and walked up to the man as he quickly hung up.

" She doesn't want to see you Finn... Here is the papers sign them and get them to the lawyer." He snatched the papers and looked at the top page.

"Irreconcilable differences?!" Just like that it all began. He stormed out and into her office by the sounds of it. So that was the asshole that she'd been spending her life with, I wondered if she was happy through it all. A sigh passed my lips as the short girl walked in again.

" She can see you now." I followed Marty into the office and behold, here came the story. Minus Grady whom had ditched...

" Well tell me. Go ahead." She mumbled once Ellie had brought coffee, even Ellie was sitting and waiting to hear.

"Ight, so Grady and Gerald were smoking. Grady got high as fuck and somehow found a blow torch. Well at first it was funny. Lighting the blunt with a torch."

"Nah that was fucked up." I laughed weakly, it was hard acting normal around her considering.

" Well so Grady turns the thing up, the blunt breaks, the torch catches the curtain on fire and the shit spreads like wild fire because he's fucking fanning it!" She laughed as did Ellie. Gosh that laugh made me crack a smile. Devon would have my ass if she knew I was sitting here smiling because of my ex.

"O shit! Only Grady! Alright, Alright, down to business. How long are ya gonna need the studio?"

"Couple months?" Marty looked at me then I nodded. " How much does it cost?" She shrugged and looked at the calendar on her desk.

" Well because it's you guys just get me some good bud. Ight?" Ellie's eyes grew wide.

"You smoke?!"

"I did before I got married, so why not again?" She laughed softly.

"We're going out tonight, I can get you some for sure." Blizzy grinned sitting back after downing his coffee. Devon was gonna be there, fuck.

"Sounds good!" She looked to Ellie who was grinning ear to ear. "As long as you come."

"Sure!"

" Then it's settled, now let's go show you guys the studio." She stood, I could undress her with my eyes just like old times. The tiny scar on her neck from the curling iron shows with her hair up. The moon tattoos trailing down her spin I could see a portion of from the crop top. "Gerald?" I blinked a few times, I was staring again.

"Uh yeah?"

"You're just standing there. Come on." She laughed and I nodded slowly, following her down the hall, Ellie lead the others. " So how ya been?"

"Ight, I can't complain. You? I heard you're single, you happy?" She smiled slightly before nodding.

"I feel free. Happy for sure. How about you? Still jumping around I assume?" I laughed weakly and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Eh sort of... I'm off again on again with someone. You'll meet her tonight." That smile disappeared as she nodded.

" Well I'm happy for you..." She opened the door, the studio was stupid decked out. Anything I could need was here.

"Fuck D!" I grinned looking at the board. "This is lit!"

"I knew you'd like it!" She laughed and sat down on the sofa in the back. I stood up and took a Snapchat of the room.

"Yeeee! Loving the temp studio!" Ellie laughed and sat down beside Danny who was drifting off in her thoughts.

" Well I have some work to do, if you need anything come get me otherwise I'll see you all tonight. Just text me the place Marty?"

"Damn right! See ya Danny!" Ellie and her left as I sat back down and took a breath. Already I had slipped up.

Dev: Whose the blonde isn't that your ex?

G: yeah... Using her studio don't worry babe x

Dev : whatever, go fuck yourself Gerald.

G: so you ain't coming tonight?

Dev: I dunno... I guess you'll have to wait and see.

G: whatever.... I guess see you later.

I sat down my phone once Marty passed me a rolled up blunt. This was gonna be nice working here for sure.
