Chapter 19- As I Promised

Mark looked to JB blankly, not knowing what to say. "JaeBum-Ah it's nothing. We just got into a little disagreement. I will sort it out, don't worry. Anyways I should check up on Lina" Mark told as he pulled out his phone.

Meanwhile...

Lina was sitting at the round table in the corner of the room, as she had just finished having lunch, which one of the workers at the hotel had brought up to her. Her phone pinged indicating she got a message.

Picking up a napkin and wiping her fingers and mouth clean, she quickly took her phone and turned it on. It was a message from Mark with a picture of him:

Lina looked at it, smiling.
I just finished with lunch now. 😊 I'm alright. You could have just sent me a message instead of taking a selfie lol she replied back.

Lina then made her way to her bed as she waited for a reply from Mark.

*ping*

Oh why? Should I not? 😔 Was Mark's reply.

Oh. I mean.. if you want to then, that's fine. But don't expect me to send you any back. 😶 Lina replied.

Lina wondered what Jackson was up to but refrained from asking, thinking it would be rude to ask about someone else, when Mark was the one who made an effort to message her.

The icon at the top of her mobile showed that Mark was still typing, but Lina decided to send another message saying;

Anyways, what are you guys up to? Have you had anything to eat yet?

Oh thats a shame I was just going to say I was missing your face 😃 and nope. I'm waiting for Bambam and Jinyoung to bring back some food. Mark replied back

Lina giggled softly. Not happening! Also I'm looking forward to my beef burger 😍 don't forget yeah? She typed back.

I won't Dw. Anyways gtg x Mark's final reply was to Lina.

Lina sighed and typed; Bye Bye ✌

5 hours had passed, Lina had passed those hours watching youtube videos on her phone, also made a phone call to her Mum to let her know, how she was doing. The boys had not returned yet, so Lina deciding to take a nap.

The nap ended up lasting 3 hours.

"Hey Angie.. wake up." Mark whispered by her ear. He had returned with her meal like he had promised.

"Hmm.. Your back already? Took you long enough. I'm starving." Lina said groggingly as she sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes. "Where's everyone else?" She yawned softly.

"They've all retreated back into their rooms to rest up. We have an early morning, to head back home." Mark told as he took out the meal box from the bag and handed it to Lina. "As I promised.. here's your beef burger."

"Ahh this is great! Thanks Mark." Lina said as she instantly dug into her food continously making satisfying sounds with every bite of the burger, causing Mark to chuckle.

"That's alright. How's your foot?" He asked looking to where her foot would be, which was under the covers.

Lina wriggled her toes under the duvet. "It's much better."

Mark got up from the bed. "That's good to hear. I'm going to freshen up now and then sleep too. It's been a long day" he said as he stretched and sighed.

Lina watched as Mark walked to his own bed, picking up the things he needed for his shower. She wanted to know how Jackson was. Not seeing or talking to him for the whole day felt weird.

"What's the matter?" Mark asked as he saw Lina had stopped eating and was just staring into space.

"Oh erhh. Nothing." Lina went back to eating before looking to Mark as he was walking into the bathroom. "Aishh.. I should have just asked him." Lina mumbled under her breath.

The next day..

Everyone was sitting in the van. Like previously JB, Yugeom and Youngjae were sat together in one, whilst Mark, Bambam and Lina were sat in the other, however Jackson was still back in his room. They were all waiting on him.

"What's taking Jackson so long? Shouldn't someone go check up on him?" Lina asked worridly. She was yet to see him from yesterday morning.

"You're right. I'll go see what's happening." Mark told as he was opening the door, someone from outside hopped in.

"There's no need for that." Jackson

Lina watched him as he made his way to sit in the seat by BamBam.

"H-Hey.." Lina hesitantly greeted him and as she expected he ignored her as he seemed engaged in a conversation with Bambam.

Mark saw the smile disappear from Lina's face. "Hey what's wrong?" He asked, giving her a gentle nudge.

"Nothing" Lina said simply as she shook her head.

Mark made a pouty face to Lina . She looked at him confused. Sighing, she turned away, looking out the window.

"Angie! Talk to me" Mark said in a cute voice as he suddenly started doing his aegyo.

Lina turned her head to look at him again and a few seconds later, she started smiling.

"Yay! You're smiling again." Mark grabbed hold of her chubby cheeks, pinching them softly.

"Yah! Get off." Lina scolded and as she was about to hit him, Mark grabbed both her wrists in one hand.

"Oh look!" He points out the window.

Lina turns her head to look out and in that moment feels Mark letting her hands go and his head resting on her shoulder.

"What are you?" Lina suddenly begins to say in suprise as her body stiffened.

"Shhh. Let me close my eyes and rest here for a moment. I didn't get to sleep much last night." Mark spoke in a soft whisper.
