Chapter 64- Alice

"Honey, guess who's arrived!" Raymond called out as he entered the house with his son.

"Baby brother!" Tammy exclaimed as she came running down the stairs and threw her arms around Mark. "Let me get a better look at you" she pulled away, her hands squeezing his shoulders and then down his arms. "How did you.. you've grown so much over the passed years! I remember you being just below my shoulders"

Mark chuckled. "But you've stayed the same sis!"

"Hey! Have not." She wacked Mark's arm. "Don't you notice anything different about me?" She stroked her hand through her hair.

Mark looked to her hair. "Hmm."

Just then, Mark remembered SooAh, when she asked the same question to him at the cafe. That felt like it happened so long ago.

He smiled "Your hairs different right? You cut it shorter?"

Tammy nodded, grinning.

"My precious son. Where is he?" Mrs Tuan said happily as she came out the kitchen, wiping her hands on a towel.

Tammy moved out the way as Mark chucked his backpack on the sofa, placed Riley down beside it and ran over into his mother's arms, as she sobbed. He hugged her tight as he felt his throat tighten and his own eyes go teary.

"Don't cry Mum. I'm here now aren't I?" Mark lifted his head up and kissed his mother's cheek.

"I've missed you so much Mark. The d-day you left.. it was so hard. I was always so worried about how you were coping alone out there." She patted his hair and then touched his face.

She was glad she finally could feel him physically instead of talking to him over the phone, which didn't feel as good.

"I wasn't alone Mum. The rest of the boys... and I took care of eachother." He told as he wiped her tears away. "Wait Mum." He sniffed "Did you cook-"

"Yess! Your favourite! Home made hamburgers with fries. Go wash up and change out your clothes whilst I set the table hmm? You must be hungry. Airplane food is never good" Mrs Tuan told.

"Okay. That would be great. Thanks Mum, but where is everyone else?" He looked to Tammy "where's my favourite nieces?" Mark asked.

"Joey took them to the Park for a bit. They were getting tired waiting around for you to arrive. I'll give Joey a call to come back." Tammy told him.

"Okay." Mark then grabbed his bag and Riley and headed up to his bedroom. He walked into the room and a flood of his childhood memories came to him.

He placed his belongings at the foot of the bed and then flopped down, face into the pillow.

"Can't wait to sleep in here tonight.. but first, a warm shower, he got back up with a groan.
