Chapter 97- Taking a Chance

That afternoon at lunch time, SooAh was in the library on the computers doing her English assignment, when she saw Yugyeom walk in.

She had never seen Yugyeom in the library before and neither thought he ever read books, but here he was, looking through a bookshelf.

SooAh contiplates whether to approach him.

She goes back to doing her assignment, her fingers tapping on the keyboard, but her mind keeps wondering to Yugyeom.

She sighs heavily, her fingers freeze in the air. She gets up and goes to the aisle she last saw him.

He wasn't there.

She continues to walk around, until she finds him in a corner, sitting with his head buried in a book.

I shouldn't disturb him.
She thought.

She goes over anyways.

"Ahem" she clears her throat. "Yugyeom."

"Hmm?" He keeps his eyes on the book.

"C-Can I... talk to you for a minute?"

Yugyeom keeps his gaze down, waiting for her to say more.

SooAh snaps getting annoyed at his childish behaviour. "Are you not going to look at me forever? Why are you like this?" SooAh nudges the book with her hand, in hopes he'd look up, but didn't expect the book to fall out his hand.

"Oh no" SooAh looks shocked.

Yugyeom huffs out his nose and picks up the book from the floor and stands up to his feet.  "I don't like the sight of you" he murmurs and walks away. Still not giving her any eyecontact.

SooAh feels daggers to the heart.
"W-What?" Her eyes blur with tears.

That evening. SooAh was at a cafe with some of her classmates, including Riya. They decided to have a break from their work and relax a bit.

SooAh wondered if maybe something was going wrong with Yugyeom and Riya, that caused Yugyeoms mood to be so bitter to her.

She turned to Riya who was sat beside her.

"Hey. I just wanted to ask... is everything going well with Yugyeom?"

Riya frown smiled. "No. Haven't you heard from Yugyeom?"

SooAh shook her head. "No. What happened?"

"Well... He told me he likes another girl, but that we can stay friends." Riya shrugged.

SooAh has a light bulb moment, everything thats happened in the passed few days with Yugyeom floods to her mind. All the times Yugyeom was extra caring towards her.

She thanks Riya then excuses herself from the table, but not after placing her share of money down.

She makes an excuse that her mum was calling her to help her close down her shop for the night.

Mrs Shin worked as a hairdresser.

"That's fine. See you tomorrow" the girls waved at her.

As soon as SooAh was out of the girls sight she took her phone out her bag and texted Yugyeom.
