it's around 11pm, and so far me and the girls have managed to get through an entire season of OITNB and a whole tub of ice cream. were currently cuddled up on the couch watching the conjuring 2 and just as the nun pops out of the photo, Delany's phone decides it wants to make us shit ourselves and go off on full volume, causing us all to scream and jump away from the tv, popcorn and spoons filled with ice cream being thrown in the air.

she picks up her phone after mouthing to us that it's Derek, and speaks immediately. 

"jesus fucking christ D you scared the shit out of us!" she yells into the phone.

i hear him laugh on the other line mumbling a 'sorry' before saying something else i couldn't quite make out.

after a few seconds of silence she speaks again

"yeah Derek, she's okay, they both are" she says whilst looking at me smiling.

Indi nudges me with her elbow as i look at her and she wiggles her eyebrows, causing me to smile and shake my head, playing with my fingers.

"alright D, i'll see you tomorrow, okay, love you too- bye" she says before hanging up and placing her phone next to her.

"Derek said goodnight and sweet dreams, and he'll see you two in the morning" she said pulling the blanket up to her shoulders and closing her eyes.

"goodnight, love yous" she says before dozing off.

i look over at Indi with a shocked expression, "okay, i dont know how the FUCK she falls asleep that fast but whatever it is, i need some" i say looking back at the snoring Delany.

"i know right, that shits unfair" she says grabbing her phone and snapping a picture of the snoring girl on the couch.

"im actually really tired too, i'm gonna knock off" i say to indi turning the light off and heading back the couch, snuggling up to Indi and mumbling a 'goodnight' before shutting my eyes and waiting for sleep to overtake my body.

I'm woken by the feeling of someone kissing my face, i groan loudly and slowly open my eyes, revealing a smiling Derek.

"morning baby" he says kissing my forehead and lying down next to me.

"what are you doing here? whats the time?" i ask confused, starting to sit up from my position on the couch.

"it's almost 9, i came to see you cause i missed you" he says pouting and looking up at me with those puppy eyes i could never fucking resist.

"you saw me less than 24 hours ago Derek" i said smiling

"i know baby, but i wanted cuddles" he mumbles, leaving kisses along my neck and snuggling his face into my shoulder before groaning and wrapping his arms around my waist.

"babe how much sleep did you get last night?" i asked him, playing with the ends of his hair.

"none" he says lowly, sighing heavily, i ask him why and he simply just states that he was "busy".

"get some sleep baby, i'll wake you up when we're ready to go" i say giving him a peck on the lips and leaning my chin on his head.

Dereks asleep by now and just as im about to doze off, Delany and Indi walk in with a random puppy following them.

"who's dog is that?" i ask softly to make sure not to wake Derek up.

"he followed me back from the mailbox" delany shrugged while sitting on the opposite couch, Indi going to the kitchen.
