"Are they ever coming back Mom." I asked my mom one day during dinner.
"Who dear?" She asked confused.
"The Birlem's." I said sadly,
"I don't know... maybe.. who knows." She said as sadly as I did.
"I-I miss them." I said playing with my food.
"You sure did have a strong connection with that Joey boy." My Mom said.
"We sure did." I said a tear slipping down my cheek.
"We sure did."
