Arthur's phone buzzed aggressively. Sure enough, the young author's twitter had exploded with a new tag, something that Arthur didn't ever look forward to. Challenges and tags were always tedious, normally boring since it was always the same thing. This was no different, a simple 25 question tag. Arthur had done things along the lines before - why was his feed exploding?
Alfred Jones was the one who tagged him.
Arthur took a long stare at his phone. Alfred Jones, the young, attractive, American youtuber had been one of Arthur's closest friends and first real crush - Although he'd gotten over that years ago of course...
Arthur looked over the tag and what it entailed, plus what Alfred had written for each question. The questions were the same old thing, but most of them centred around relationships, and Arthur assumed that was what twitter was going bat-shit crazy over. Some of the questions Alfred answered the same thing as always, (like where do you live, what's your favourite movie, ect.) but for all the relationship questions, his answers were vague from first glance, but Arthur began piecing bits together, and saw what the twitter commotion was all about.
For question eight, Alfred had written that the nicest thing anyone had ever said to him was that he had a beautiful smile. For question nine, he said his crush's first initial was A. For question twelve he said he'd always wanted a son named James or Daniel. For question fifteen however, he didn't describe his first kiss.
He described Arthur's first kiss.Arthur had met Alfred in high school, and before that, Alfred had a girlfriend. Eventually, they broke up and Alfred moved onto another girl, before a fateful night in the driveway of a friend who'd had held a party. True, Alfred and Arthur both had been slightly intoxicated, both slightly horny when they'd made out in the driveway, allowing people to see them through the window, and needless to say, Alfred's girlfriend at the time hadn't been happy in the slightest. Eventually, both had said they'd only wanted to be friends - Alfred came out as bisexual about a week later, and he and Arthur didn't have a full official relationship - Although now that Alfred had tagged Arthur in the same tag, with the same questions, everybody would realize the first kiss they'd described had been the exact same. The ships were bad enough already, and if they gave the fans anything more to base sure fire evidence on, hell would break lose. Alfred didn't make it any easier.
For question sixteen, he said what he looked for in a partner was:
- A caring heart/compassionate soul
- Bitter exterior but a softie on the inside
- Likes animals, tea and can tolerate his personality
- British accent
- Green eyesFuck him. He was just feeding the fangirls evidence. He could have just saved himself and Arthur time and just wrote "I LIKE ARTHUR KIRKLAND" in bold and posted it.
But for question eighteen, he basically did that exact thing since he wrote that the most attractive person he followed on twitter was Arthur.
Arthur was done with his shit.
That asshole.
Arthur's phone didn't stop buzzing for two days straight. Many of the twitter posts included things like "Wait are you two dating" and "You two should totally make out on camera imagine how many views that'd get" from Francis Bonnefoy, an annoying mutual friend.
Arthur's phone chimed with Alfred's ringtone.
Arthur scrambled, quickly checking his twitter. Sure enough, Alfred had posted again.BUT WHERE IS THIS GOING ITS LIKE TWO IN THE MORNING NOW ITS TOO LATE FOR THIS SHIT
Im sorry
