Now I'm not saying that you should add photos in your stories. I personally like it when an author adds a quote but as a photo at the end of a chapter like this..I think that's quite pretty and fits in with the chapter, especially since it's a rectangle.
But when you add a picture of, let's say, the necklace like you had just described it doesn't look good. Think about it, in professional books, they don't have pictures. And if they do, then they won't be of a piece of clothing that they don't know how to describe. The whole point of reading is so we can think about the story, IMAGINE it. Giving a picture just ruins that whole concept.
E.g.
My raven black hair danced wildly as the wind picked up. I looked down in an attempt to make it stop, and found myself examining my outfit, aggravated by my low fashion sense.
My jeans were black but faded, creating a shadowed grey colour that didn't go well with my dark skin tone and had ripped in various places unintentionally. I wore a navy blue, Adidas crop top that showed of my tattooed stomach. My feet were submerged in soft fluff ; Ugg boots were always my favourite. My necklace.
Lay just above my chest.
Doesn't that look quite horrible?
It ruins the nice description you just did!
