Twenty.

I didn't think I was going to be able to update today hence the double update last night but I got home early so have another chapter.

'I can't go visit our parents...' She says as they lie in bed; his arm wrapping around her waist as he kissing the top of her head.

'Okay. Don't worry about that, I'll let people know we aren't going to be over.' He replies.

'You should let Joe go home... He's been stuck with Willow the whole afternoon.' She says resting her head on his chest.

'Honestly, I think he's having the time of his life Dems but I can ask him to leave if you want.' He replies and she shakes her head.

'No, if he's okay then just leave him. Does he know?' She asks.

'Yeah. I had to tell him.' He replies and she nods her head.

'I-I should phone Marissa... She'll be wondering how the scan went.' Demi says quietly, her eyes once again filling with tears.

'I can do that if you want.' Nick suggests and she nods her head.

'Thank you.' She replies.

'Do you need anything? Something to eat?' He asks.

'Tea... It's gone cold.' She replies and he nods his head.

'What about some toast?' He asks and she shakes her head.

'Just tea.' She replies.

'You need to eat... You've barely ate all day.' He says.

'Nick, please? Just tea.' She replies biting her bottom lip as the tears begin to fall.

'Okay. I'll be back in a few minutes.' He says. He moves and grabs her cup from the bedside table before leaving the room. Rolling onto her back, Demi presses her hands against her stomach and breathes deeply.

'I'm so sorry I couldn't keep you safe.' She whispers.

'How is she?' Joe asks as Nick makes his way into the kitchen.

'She wants a cup of tea.' Nick replies shrugging her shoulders.

'Do you want me to make you two some dinner or I could pick something up for you both?' Joe asks and Nick shakes his head.

'She doesn't want anything to eat... Just tea.' Nick replies.

'She needs to eat.' Joe says as Nick rinses the cup under water.

'Don't you think I know that? What am I supposed to do? Force the food down her throat.' He snaps before sighing.

'I'm sorry... I just- I need to keep her speaking to me if I have any chance of helping her through this. I'll get her to eat something later.' Nick says and Joe nods his head.

'It's fine... What does Willow eat?' Joe asks.

'There's some purees in the fridge. If you want to get off then I can feed her.' Nick replies glancing at the little girl in Nick's arms.

'No, it's fine. Just you focus on Demi, she needs you.' Joe says as Nick leans forward and kisses the top of Willow's head.

'I need to phone Marissa.' Nick mumbles glancing around for his phone.

'Why don't I make the tea and you can go phone Marissa?' Joe suggests and Nick nods his head.

'Thank you.' He says quietly.

She sits on the floor of their bedroom clutching the pale grey teddy bear against her chest. This is nothing like how it happens in the movies; there isn't a crazy amount of blood and she isn't in agony but she is devastated and she's scared. She can hear Joe talking downstairs and she just wants him to leave; she needs everything to just be quiet for a while. She much is going on and she wants to be alone but she knows under no circumstances should she be left alone. The tears start falling faster and her body begins to shake with sobs as she clings tightly to the bear.

Joe's sitting in the living room when he hears heartbreaking sobs coming from upstairs.

'Gi, I need to go... I'll phone you later.' He says hanging up the phone and placing it down on the table before making his way upstairs. Rushing into the bedroom he finds Demi curled up on the floor sobbing as the teddy remains clutched against her chest.

'Oh Demi...' He says instantly kneeling down beside her. He pulls her into his arms as she sobs against his chest.

'Nick's gone to pick you up the things the hospital recommended.' He says. She sniffs and lifts her head to look at him.

'I really wanted that baby.' She almost whispers and he nods his head.

'I know you did.' He replies.

'Thank you for looking after Willow.' She says quietly.

'You don't have to thank me... I'm here for as long as you and Nick need me.' He replies.

'Where is she?' Demi asks.

'Downstairs. She's due her last bottle isn't she.' He replies.

'Could you bring her here? I'd really like a cuddle and to feed her?' She asks and he nods his head.

'Of course I can.' He replies.

'Get everything you need?' Joe asks as Nick makes his way back in the house.

'Yeah. Where's Willow?' Nick asks glancing around the empty living room.

'Upstairs with Demi... She wanted to feed her and give her a cuddle, they're both fast asleep now.' Joe replies and Nick sighs.

'How are you holding up?' Joe asks and Nick shrugs his shoulders.

'It just sucks, you know? We hadn't known for long but we both loved that little baby just as much as we love Willow... He or she was still our baby,' Nick replies, tears filling his eyes.

'Hey, come here... You don't have to put up a front for me. I'm here for you.' Joe says. Nick shakes his head as the tears begin to stream down his cheeks.

'I hate this.' He mumbles and Joe sighs.

'Come here.' Joe says hugging his little brother tightly as Nick begins to sob into his shoulder.
