'Hey...' Demi says grinning as Nick's face pops up on the screen.

'Hi, beautiful... Are you coming to the show tomorrow?' He asks.

'Of course! Marissa's going to watch Willow so we'll be child free for a while.' She replies smiling.

'Really? That'll be good. I can't wait to see you.' He says.

'I can't wait to see you. Will there be time for us to see you before the show? When you first get back to LA?' She asks.

'I don't know. Hopefully, I mean between landing and the show there's a few hours so I could try come see you before that.' He replies.

'If you don't have time don't worry about it. I'll see you at the show and Willow will be here when you get back... You are coming home with me aren't you?' She asks and he smiles.

'Where else would I be going?' He asks.

'I don't know.' She replies shrugging her shoulders.

'Of course I'm coming home with you.' He says and she smiles.

'Where's our little princess?' He asks and she instantly holds the phone out to the side showing Willow fast asleep on her.

'Well doesn't she look comfy.' He says smiling.

'She's been like that well over an hour. I was planning on doing some Christmas shopping today but I can't quite bring myself to wake her.' She replies.

'She looks adorable... All I've got in interviews this week has been when's the wedding? Have you set a date?' He says and she laughs as she moves the phone back up to her face.

'Oh I know. Every time I leave the house the paps are throwing all these questions at me. I don't think they realise we only got engaged nearly two weeks ago and you've been in a different state.' She replies.

'I know... Like we've had anytime to plan.' He says smiling.

'You okay?' Marissa asks keeping Willow balanced on her hip as she makes her way into the kitchen where Demi is leaning on the counter.

'I'm still late... I know the test was negative but what if it was wrong?' Demi says taking a sip of water from the glass in front of her.

'Then take another test.' Marissa replies sitting Willow on the counter and holding onto her little hands.

'I don't have any and I can't exactly just pop down to the shop and grab one, it'll be on the news within an hour.' Demi says.

'I'll go pick a few up for you.' Marissa replies smiling.

'A-Are you sure?' Demi asks.

'Of course I am. Have you had any other symptoms or are you just late?' Marissa asks.

'I've been feeling a little sick but that could be nothing...' Demi replies shrugging her shoulders.

'Right, I'll go pick up a few tests and I'll be back as soon as possible.' Marissa says lifting Willow and passing her to Demi who kisses the little girl's head.

'Thanks, Marissa.' Demi replies. Keeping Willow balanced on her hip she watches as Marissa leaves the house.

'What do you think, little lady? Would you like a baby brother or sister?' She asks quietly as the little girl snuggles into her.

'You're just too young, aren't you? Mommy's not ready for you not to be my baby anymore...' She admits.

____

'Demi coming tomorrow night?' Joe asks as Joe glances up from his phone. Demi managed to him to stay on with Nick once she'd went home because she knew it was what they both wanted and once they realised that she was okay on her own they both seemed a lot happier.

'Yes. She's leaving Willow with Marissa so she gets to be child free for the night.' Nick replies smiling.

'Bet you're looking forward to getting home.' Joe says and Nick sighs.

'I don't think I've ever looked forward to a tour finishing as much as I have this one... Being on tour while in a relationship is hard obviously but leaving Demi and Willow behind was ridiculous. Possibly the hardest thing I've ever done.' Nick admits and Joe smiles.

'What are you getting her for Christmas?' Joe asks.

'I'm not sure yet... I think I'm going to arrange for us to go to Disney for part of her Christmas but other than that I'm not sure.' Nick replies shrugging his shoulders.

'Willow's first Christmas that must be exciting...' Joe says and Nick nods his head.

'Yeah. It's crazy to think that this time last year neither of us knew she even existed and now I genuinely can't imagine my life without her... Or Demi, like what did I even do before I had those two to wake up to.' Nick replies.

'What's it like? Being a dad, I mean?' Joe asks.

'Best feeling in the world. Nothing beats watching her little face light up when Demi or I walk into the room. The love you feel for that child is just indescribable, Joe. I feel like Willow could do anything and I will still love her with all my heart.' Nick replies.

_____

'What are you thinking?' Marissa asks as Demi glances the test on the bathroom counter.

'I'm thinking that no matter what this says everything will be okay. It'll be hard and I'm not sure I'm ready for another child but I guess we'll make it work.' Demi replies shrugging her shoulders as her phone beeps signalling the end of the waiting time.

'Do you want me to look?' Marissa asks and Demi shakes her head.

'No, it's okay... I'll look.' Demi replies. Taking a deep breath she lets her hand hover above the test before reaching down and lifting it into her hand. Flipping it over she begins to read the result.
