So I've been thinking and I don't want to drag this story out so there is only this chapter and an epilogue left. I've loved all your support on this story and I hope with these last two parts you're as happy as with the rest of it.

'So what's daddy planned for us?' Demi says forcing as smile onto her face as she lifts Willow into her arms.

'I thought we could do Willow's hand prints? Dallas bought us that kit as part of Christmas, didn't she?' Nick suggests and Demi nods her head.

'Yeah. I suppose we should do it before she gets too big.' She replies quietly.

'You okay?' He asks.

'No, but I will be.' She replies taking a deep breath.

'I'm sorry if I hurt you earlier. I shouldn't have been so insensitive.' He says causing her to shake her head.

'Someone needed to tell me.' She replies.

'If you don't want to do this today that's completely okay. We can snuggle up and watch a movie.' He says.

'I don't know what I want to do... I just- I feel so empty, Nick. Like I-I don't know. I know I hadn't felt the baby moving or anything but I knew he was there and now? Now it's just nothing.' She replies, tears filling her eyes as she holds Willow close to her chest.

'I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Dems.' He says instantly wrapping his arms around her as she sobs into his chest.

'It's not fair.' She cries and he shakes his head as tears stream down his own cheeks and he glances down at Willow.

'I know. It's horrible, everything about this situation is horrible and I wish more than anything that you didn't have to go through it.' He says.

'I've not even asked you how you are feeling?' She asks taking a deep breath and glancing up at him.

'I'm fine. Don't even worry about me... Let's just concentrate on you, ey?' He replies kissing the top of her head.

'Can we book tickets to go to my parents?' She asks and he nods his head.

'Of course we can.' He replies.

____

'Does your mom know we're coming?' Nick asks as he helps Demi off the plane.

'Nope. I didn't feel like speaking on the phone but I arranged for a car to pick us up.' She replies and he nods his head.

'Okay.' He says keeping Willow balanced on his hip as he links his fingers with hers. They'd managed to book a last minute flight and it has been the longest flight of Nick's life; Demi spent most of it curled up on her side in a world of her own.

_____

'Demi!' Dianna says as she opens the front door and comes face to face with her daughter.

'Hi, mom... C-Can we stay?' Demi asks biting her bottom lip as Dianna wraps her arms around her.

'Of course you can.' Dianna replies smiling slightly. Nick smiles as he moves past Dianna and Demi to carry Willow into the living room.

'How are you, sweetie?' Dianna asks quietly and Demi sighs.

'Not good, mom... I-I thought I could do this but I can't.' Demi replies.

'I know it seems like things won't ever get better but they will. I promise they will.' Dianna says and Demi shakes her head.

'I don't see how they will. Everything just feels like it's falling apart and I don't know what to do. It's all just so overwhelming.' Demi admits.

'Do you need me to phone your doctor?' Dianna asks and Demi shakes her head.

'N-No. I just need to be away from LA... Away from the press and everyone else.' Demi replies.

'Okay.' Dianna says.

_____

'What if I don't want to go back to LA?' Demi asks as she curls into Nick's side.

'We don't have to go back anytime soon.' He replies and she shakes her head as Willow sleeps peacefully beside her.

'That's not what I meant... I felt like I was suffocating in LA and out here I just feel so, I don't know.' She says shrugging her shoulders. They've been in Dallas for just under a week and Nick has already noticed such a change in Demi. He can't even deny that she's less withdrawn since they landed and although she's still emotional she's definitely been more hands on with Willow.

'So you want to move here?' He asks and she nods her head.

'What about our careers, Dems? How would that work?' He asks.

'I-I don't know. Forget it... It was a stupid idea.' She replies glancing up at him.

'If this is really what you want we can figure out a way. I don't know what we'll do but I'll work something out.' He says kissing the top of her head.

'Really?' She asks and he nods his head.

'Yeah. We'll work something out.' He replies.
