The sun was shining brightly and a light breeze was flowing in through my room balcony. 10 years later and I still feel like I just graduated high school.
"How is my beautiful wife this morning," Scott said when he walked into the room with a tray of food.
I sit up and say "I'm fantastic. How's my amazing husband this morning?"
"I woke up next to you. That should say it all." He kisses my forehead. "I made you breakfast."
"I can see that. Care to join me?"
"I'd love to. Let me just grab the kids food and we'll all eat in here."
I smile. "I'll get them. You get the food."
He kisses me quickly. "Love you."
"Love you too."
I jumped out of bed, walked to the kids room and found my two wonderful bundles of joy sound asleep. Four years old and they already look exactly like us. Rebecca was the spitting image of me but she had Scott's eyes and his sense of enthusiasm. James was Scott but with my eyes and stubborn nature especially when it came to his "big sister". Rebecca was born three minutes before and she won't let him live it down. Maybe she gets her competitive nature from me.
"Kids, time to wake up. Daddy made breakfast."
Rebecca woke up with a smile. "Morning mommy." She jumps out of bed and catapults onto her sleeping brother. "Wake up James!"
"Mom," James said with a groan. "Rebecca's crushing me."
"You're such a whiner," Rebecca said.
Allison then says "No fighting. We're eating breakfast."
James hugs Rebecca quickly and then they both jog over to me, hugging me tightly while giving me kisses.
"Hey, what about daddy? Don't I get hugs and kisses," Scott asked from behind me while holding two plates of pancakes.
The twins bolted to Scott, almost knocking him to the floor. Scott kisses each of their heads before handing them their breakfast. They ran into our room and Scott wraps his arms around me in the doorway.
An hour later, Stiles and Lydia came over with their four year old son Nick. Rebecca, James, and Nick were playing tag in the backyard while Lydia set up the snacks she brought and Stiles pulled out video games for him and Scott to play. That guy will never change and that's a great thing.
"We made some great kids," he whispered into my ear as we watched Nick get tackled by James and Rebecca. "We should make another one. We shouldn't deprive the world of our amazing offspring."
I laugh. "About that," I said as I turned to face him. "We'll have to make an appointment to be completely sure but I might be pregnant again."
He smiles with tears in his eyes. "Really?"
"Yeah."
"We're gonna have another baby."
"Nothing's confirmed."
He nods. "You're right. You're right." He shakes his head and squats down to my stomach. "Hey little one. I'm your daddy."
"Scott, we don't know for sure."
"Either you are already or you will be soon." He kisses me. "I love you. I love our kids. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to be married to Allison Argent."
"Allison Argent-McCall. And yeah, you are lucky."
James and Rebecca ran over and hugged us. Scott lifted them into his arms and we all just hugged. I've never been so happy in my entire life. And Scott was right. Scott and I went to for a checkup and I was pregnant again. Scott was so happy that he was jumping up and down before he slipped.
"I'm good. I'm good," he said as he had jumped back up to stand beside me. Scott turns to me. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." I put my hand on my stomach. "I think it's gonna be a girl."
"You said the same thing about the twins but we got Rebecca and James. I think you're wrong and it'll be a boy."
"I think it's a girl."
"We'll see," he said. "I'm happy either way."
Scott was happy when the baby was born and I was right. Melissa Lydia McCall was beautiful. Rebecca was happy to have another girl in the family. James was happy to not be the "youngest" in the family anymore. Life was good and I wouldn't change it for the world.
