Chapter 27

I couldn't believe. We got out of his room. I was still wiping tears of joy from my face. His family looked at us in awe. They probably knew about this.

When I finally calmed down I said:
-"Ok so Christmas dinner ain't gonna make itself, let's go!"
They all nodded and in few hours it was made. We ate and you could feel joy and happiness in the air.

-" This is really good" I said
-" Thank you, it wouldn't be this easy without your help" Karen returned. When we finished Karen and Manuel started packing since they are leaving tomorrow and I washed the dishes.

I woke up early and helped Shawn's parents with suitcases. They waited as long as they could for Shawn and Aaliyah to wake up but they didn't so Manuel started the car.
-" Please just tell them we waited, we gotta go now"
-" Oh of course, I'm sorry"
-" Honey, I hope I'll see you soon" Karen said hugging me.
-" Yeah I think we will see each other soon" I returned with a smile.

When they left I watched TV for a bit and then decided to make breakfast. It's already 10am those sloths should wake up.

I found a pan so why not to make pancakes?
I put music on and started swaying as Fast Car was playing.

God I love this song. It was really old but still one of my favourites.
Then I felt someone standing behind me and giggling.

It was Aaliyah.
-" You scared the shit out of me" I yelled.
-" Sorry I just smelled pancakes"
-" Big sloth is still sleeping?"
-" Aham"
-" Let's eat then"
We ate few pancakes when one, in a lack of attention, disappeared from the plate.

-" Again?" I said as I saw Shawn eating it.
-" Where are mom and dad?" He asked, his mouth full.
-" They had to go"
-" They could wait"
-" They did, till 9"
-" Meh, I'll see them soon anyway"

-" So what are you planing for New Year?" I asked.
-" Brian and James said they're gonna come, few others from my crew too"
-" Aaliyah you didn't invite anyone?"
-" Nah"
-" Then you're with me"
-"I guess" she laughed.
-" You gotta meet the crew, you're a part of it now"
-" What?" I was confused
-" I'm gonna hire you"
-" Wait what?"
-" Yeah so you can cover the practice for your school"
-" But what is my job?" I said that with pauses since I didn't get him.
-" Like a personal asistent? Or I don't know, Andrew told me we can hire you, ask him"

-" Oh okay" I was not getting him but yeah, it sounded great.
