...-" God you are freezing"
-" I'm not cold, I think It's just shock"
I was sitting between his legs, his huge arms wrapped around me. I could feel strong heartbeat at the back of my neck. It was, well... cozy and soon, I felt warmer. I put my head in the crook of his neck, his chin on top of it.

When we got to my apartment, it was empty, Ally probably at her boyfriend's. Shiba got in, sniffled a bit around it. Shawn was carrying our suitcases.

First thing I ran up to was an old photo of me and my sister when we were little. It was in the hall. I stood there a bit, admiring it. All the memories going through my head. A rush of emotions. Some feeling of emptiness inside me...

I snapped back to reality.

-" Give it to me" I said sticking my hand out for suitcase.
-" Nah, they aren't heavy"
He put them in the hallway, "Are you feeling any better now?"
-" Still annoyed as fuck, but just stay close and I'll be fine"

-" Come, let's find something on tv"
I sat on the couch next to Shawn, his arm around my shoulder, hand in my hair.

Soothing

We were watching Grey's. Because of the damn timezones and winter, it was dark before we even had breakfast.
-" Do you have anything in the fridge?"
-" I guess Ally bought something, check"

A moment later I heard him yelling from kitchen:
-" This is literally abandoned"
-" You have a Nando's gift card"
-" Oh damn. you're right"
-" And we have Nando's in the building across the street, let me go"
-" Nonono, I'll go"
-" You can get mobbed, I'm usual"
-" Are you sure you can?"
-" I'm not dead, I can walk, I'm concious, you wanna make the blood analysis?" I said sarcastically.
He nodded giving me the gift card.

I brought us some chicken and fries.
-" It smells so good"
-" Anything edible smells good now to be honest, we're hungry as fuck"
He chuckled
-" You're right but Nando's is Nando's"
I smiled.
-" You're smiling" he whispered.
-" You make me smile" I returned shyly.

Sitting on the couch, talking about weird subjects, about life. I heard a knock onthe door. Shiba got excited.

It's Ally.

-" Go open it please" I said lazy.
-" You're using me" he laughed
-" Yeah poor you, just open the door"
He made a few steps when I heard well familiar voice screaming:
-" Oh my fucking god"
I chuckled remembering how bad she wanted to meet Shawn.
She introduced herself and they got to the living room. When she saw me, looking like a dead rat, my eyes swollen and my skin pale, she winced:
-" What happened?"
I looked at the floor.
-" How do you know something happened?"
-" I know you" she said sitting beside me.
-" Emma..." My voice started to shake.
-" What happened to her?" She was staring at me scared.
-" She had a car crash"
-" Is she okay?"
I shook my head, starting to tear up.
-" When are you going to France?"
-" Dad warned me better not to come"
-"Oh god"
She hugged me in comforting manner. I could feel Shawn's eyes on us.
-" I'll stay then"
-" Wait what?"
-" I'm moving in with James"
-" Oh congrats" I said giving her a weak smile.
-" But it can wait"
-" No you don't have to wait, I'm not gonna be alone these few days" I said hinting at Shawn.
She nodded.
-" I will visit you often, when you're 18, you can get this apartment legally... I'm not even far away, it's like 3 kilometers from here, I can come after work"
I hugged her
-" So you just came to pick up your stuff, you need help?"
-" Nah, it's all packed already"
-" Well... see you around" I said hugging her sadly.
