Chapter 30

Today is New Year's Eve. The last day of 2016. It was a shitty year for the world, but one of the best years for me.

-" Aye put that cake there" Shawn said pointing at a living room table.
-" You know you could do it, I made it, you carry it at least" I said as I was fumbling with dishes. He came to the kitchen and took the bowl with some whipped cream in it that left after I decorated the cake.

-" Why are you nervous?" He said giggling
-" I don't know I just... ugh" I said, still sloppy washing some plates and exhaling.
-" You're cute when you're nervous" He took some cream and put it on my nose.
-" Ha ha, just leave me alone" I was nervous but he cheered me up,I had a chance for revenge, since my hands were soapy so I cheeky wiped the soap over his hair and face.
-" Wonderful" he said laughing.
-" Go wash that off I gotta wash my hair too"

I was finally done with doing the dishes when he came with a towel wrapped around his head. I bursted into laughter.
-" What the fuck?" Aaliyah came to us
-" What my hair is wet"
-" You have three strands of hair there, you don't need a towel"
-" It's freezing outside, I don't wanna catch a cold" He was acting.
-" Whatever, I'm going to shower now" I said as I took towel off his head, " I'm gonna need this" Shawn looked at me and then smiled. After I was done, I dried my hair which is naturally curly and put some makeup on.
-" Ohooo" Shawn said and I heard Aaliyah whistling.
-" What?" I looked surprised
-" Who are you? Where did you hide Cara?" He said cheeky

-" Whaat?" I was laughing now.
-" You look stunning" Aaliyah complimented me and I was blushing but still confused.

-" Thanks, but I guess that's just makeup, I'm gonna be ugly again tomorrow don't worry" I said smiling.
-" You're not ugly, I'm just not used to see you with makeup" Aaliyah said.
-" You want me to do your makeup too?"
-" Yes please"
We were done in few minutes and then I noticed a car parking in front of the house.
-" That must be Brian!" Shawn said excited like a little puppy, like Shiba tbh, she loves new people.

Brian and Chris exited the car.
-" Briaaaaan" Shawn and I yelled at the same time. He hugged us both tightly and then went with Shawn somewhere as I kept welcoming the guests.
Soon, James came too.
-" Okay so Tom, John and Matt gotta come"
-" I think they are here" I said as I heard a knock on the door. It was Matt and John was standing behind him.

-" Did I..?" He said looking confused at me.
-" Yeah you're at the right adress, I'm Cara nice to meet you"
-" Oh, pleasure to meet you too" we shook our hands and I went to hug John since I knew him from before.
-" Hey kid" Matt was yelling atthe sight of Shawn.

They hugged and it was cute seeing them like that.

Soon enough some other people from Shawn's crew were there and a few six packs of beer. Of course, oh god I hate it.
-" Kid you are gonna get drunk tonight" someone yelled. I just saw Shawn's confused face.

-" Yeah yeah, first time you gonna get drunk, and yes I do have more beer in the car"

I tried to keep quiet but fml that shit ain't legal, Shawn is just 18.
Shortly after they started drinking and goofing around. I hoped it all goes the best, and it actually did, not even an hour after everyone was there i realised it's midnight in Dublin.
-" Can y'all be a bit quiet I gotta call Ally" I yelled. I wanted to wish her Happy New year. They nodded.
-" Aaliyah can I borrow your phone? My battery died"
-" Yeah of course"
-" Imma FaceTime her" I said as I was typing Ally's number in. It rang few times and then she finally answered.
-" Heey you lil bastard" she said
-" Happy New Year"
-" Thank youu, I tried to call you but your phone is turned off"
-" My battery died"
-" Ooh, you at a party?"
-" Yeah" I said motioning boys to get closer too. Brian, Aaliyah, Shawn and James were on camera. I could hear Ally swearing repetedly.
-" HAPPY NEW YEAR" they all said at once.

-" Happy new year to y'all too" she said almost fainting. Tears of joy streaming down her cheeks, I was happy I made her happy.

-" Okay I gotta go" She said, her boyfriend probably waiting for her. Few moments later everything was going as it started. Few hours later as well.
They were all pretty drunk at this point.
Brian offered me a beer but I politely declined. Not that it would be completely ilegal, I don't have an urge to drink, I grow a huge disgust towards alcohol.

It was almost midnight, Aaliyah and I were eating snacks, talking about how drunk those fellas are, and so on.
-" When are your parents comming?"
-" They said second"
-" If they come tomorrow we are all dead"
-" I know, I guess these are not gonna go home by tomorrow"
-" I don't even care, they are Shawn's guests, he should worry about them"
-" Yeah"
That's when they started counting.
-"5!"
-"4!"
-"3!"
-"2"
-"1"
-" HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Yelling. We got there and started hugging ya know how it goes for New year. Shawn came up to me and hugged me tightly with his head in the crook of my neck.

-" Happy New Year" I whispered.
-" Happy New Year" he cheerfully returned, looking me in the eyes, our faces just couple of inches apart. I could feel him gettung closer and looking at my lips. A strong scent hit me as he was milimeters away from me. This can't happen, he is drunk, I shouldn't use the opportunity.

-" Happy new yeaar!" Brian came to us yelling. Wasted. Thank god.
We returned, getting away from each other.

We stayed up few more hours, everyone except me and Aaliyah drinking. But we were having fun.
-" I'm going to sleep people" I said as I was barely holding my eyes open.
-" Yeah me too" Aaliyah said
John was already sleeping or passed out on the couch. A girl, whos name I think is Lizzie was taping videos of James for Snapchat. Tom talking Shawn's hairstylist, also drunk af, and I could see that Shawn and Brian were barely holding their eyes open.
-" You should sleep too" I told them.
-" Nah" Brian said.
-" Your choice, good night!"
-" Byee"
