Manik put her down and cupped her face.

"I know you were lying nandini."

Nandini was baffled.

"How do you know?" She asked me avoiding eye contact.

"I know you very well nandini. I know when you are lying, when you are not. I know you lied about what ever happened down stairs, didn't you?" I asked her looking into her eyes while my hands were cupping her face.

"When you knew I was lying. Then ehy didn't you say anything downstairs. Why did you shout on aliya and Mukti when you knew I was wrong." She asked looking into my eyes to find answers for what I did.

"Because I trust you. I know you won't do anything without any reason." I said putting her hair strands behind her ear which had come on her face. I looked at her.

"You trust me soo much" she said in a babyish tone with teary eyes.

"Yes.I trust my princess the most." I kissed her forehead, made my forehead rest on hers.

There was silence for a long period of time. We both were still. Just absorbing each others presence.

Nandini suddenly hugged me, crying out loudly.

"Princess. What happened?" I asked her, trying to break the hug but she clinged to me even more tightly.

I took her in a side hug, wrapping my one arm around her. I wiped her tears and started caressing her cheek.

"Shhh. No more crying. Princess look at me." Saying this I held her chin, raised her face to look at me.

I looked into her eyes.

I kissed her forehead. Eyes.

Nodded no as tears were again gonna come out of her eyes.

She hugged me tightly.

"I love you manik" nandini said snuggling more into me while I was baffled for a moment.

Is it true what I heard right now..??

Did she just say those three magical words...???

Did I just heard what I wanted to hear from past 8 years..???

My eyes started becoming watery.

I lifted my shivering hands to cup her face.

To make myself believe.

Its not a dream.

But a beautiful reality.

"Say it again" I said in a brittle voice as I wanted her to say it looking into my eyes.

She in return cupped my face, wiping my tears which were flowing continuously wetting my cheeks inspite of her wiping it.

Saying this I hugged her tightly. Picking her up, I twirled her around saying countless I love you's.

I kissed her whole face. Smiling in ecstasy.

I rested my forehead with hers.

Both our faces were glowing.

God I waited for years for this moment.

And finally its here.

"Oh shit." Nandini said, feaking me out with her sudden move.

"Kya hua." I said cupping her face.
But she removed my hands from her face.

And ran out of the room.
