"Think of anything yet?" Quade asked as we sat down at the diner.

It had been an unusually warm day so my brother and I walked through town from school, actually, the real reason was that we had ridden to school with Axel and he had earned himself yet another detention.

"No, stop bugging me."

Senior Prank Day was in a week and Quade has been bugging me to no end. He wanted to pull the grandest of all pranks and both of us came up dry. I had a few ideas, but nothing that sounded remotely epic. I wanted to bag the whole thing. I needed Sloane's help on this.

"Hey." Sloane walked up to us at our usual table, smiling like an idiot.

"Why are you so happy?" Quade asked.

"This is why." Sloane set down what looked like a school schedule.

"Wait, your coming back?" Quade asked.

"Yep. Dad said it was okay."

"When do you start?" I asked , mirroring her smile.

"Tomorrow. Van is pissed but he'll get over it."

"You're back with the douche?" Quade asked.

"No. Decided to just be friends."

"You've met him?" I asked my brother.

"A couple of times." He mumbled. "You know, Sloane, for someone who sees everything, you sure don't see that this guys a walking cliché. I don't know how you can even be friends with him."

"Oh, I see it." She laughed. "But I have no problem being friends with a cliché. And neither do you. In fact here comes one now.

"Sorry, I just got out of detention..." Axel sat down next to me.

"I hate that you're right." Quade told her.

"What did you do now?" Sloane asked, amusement written all over her face.

"He called Josh a 'fucking dumbass that should never procreate' " I quoted word for word what he had said in the office this morning.

"Josh had been in the office, while we were in there trying to get someone do something about Bre. She had broken into my locker again and wrote derogatory comments on all my textbooks with a thick red sharpie. I couldn't care less, as long as I didn't have to pay for it, but Axel insisted that we tell someone." I took a deep breath.

"She needs to be committed...crazy bitch." Quade rolled his eyes. "What did Josh do now to show how little of a brain he has left?"

"The dumb ass asked who Bre was while I was relaying what happened to Principal Lee. I'm a little jealous. He's fucked, her and is able to not remember." Axel explained with a grimace.

"But he has no problem remembering her name when he gloats each time he gets in her pants." Quade chuckled. " The guy needs another CAT scan."

"Can we please stop talking about all things pertaining to Woodport high's witch'? I'd like to keep my appetite." I complained, even though I had brought her up in the first place.

"Gladly." Axel placed his hand on my thigh.

"Bre was bad before I left, but not nearly as bad as some of the other girls that went there. You guys aren't making me confident in my choice here." Sloane sat down, even though she was supposed to be on the clock.

"Choice?" Axel asked.

"I'm coming back, starting tomorrow." She smiled.

"No shit?!" Axel grinned and hugged Sloane. "This is going to be a fun, what? Eight weeks?"
