WARNING: SOME TRIGGERS. IZAYA RAMBLING

The next day, bright and anew, was just as exciting as the previous day. With natural child tendencies, you had completely erased yesterday's odd occurrences from your mind. Once more you toured the city, cherishing every last minute you spent in the city. Takahiro and Kenta all but begged to spend another hour or so in the arcade to which you aunt freely permitted. You on the other hand, elected to binge the rest of your stay in Ikebukuro at the park. This would be your last chance to witness the dancers and floats again. As you waited for the parade to roam the block, you happily occupied yourself on the swing set, lightly swinging back and forth. Mind that had been high in the clouds was sharply yanked back to reality when you were pushed off the swings and into the dirt. The prickling sting in your knees brought about a whimper, giant tears flooded your vision. Chubby arms shook as they pushed your upper body aloft, sniveling throughout the process. You craned your neck only to see your cousin smirking proudly. Regrettably enough, Satoshi declined to exploit any of his time at the arcade with your brothers, preferring to indulge in his favorite pastime; tormenting you. He had also ridded himself of yesterday's terrifying predicament, therefore omitting any sort of gratitude he owed you.

"Aw, is the wittle baby gonna cry?" he taunted viciously, kicking up some dirt to add to the debasement you were undergoing.

Bottom lip trembling, you cry, "I'm not a baby! And Imma tell Oba-san you're being mean to me!"

Where was she anyway? A few moments of skimming the park and you pinpointed your aunt. Her back was turned as she haughtily chatted with the other city mother's. A large portion of your hair is crudely jerked, instigating a pained shriek; the pulling of your scalp compels you to rise to your knees.

"Only babies tattletale!"

You ready yourself for a new hard heave, but another hand shot out to grasp onto Satoshi's wrist.

"Bullying is pretty lame." A soft voice said. "But bullying a girl? Can't get any lamer than that."

It was the weird boy with crimson eyes, the boy who had been following you yesterday. Unsmiling, he has one hand behind his back, while the other jailed the appendage that clutched your locks. Satoshi frees your hair, wrenching himself from the newcomer's grip.

"Oh yeah?" snarled your cousin, arrogantly impassive to the older boy. "What are you gonna do about it?"

He doesn't allow the strange boy to answer. With vast ignorance, he lunged at the other child with full force. The raven-haired boy made no move to defend himself, but at the last possible second he calmly sidestepped your cousin. Unable to decelerate, Satoshi's foot hits the wooden rim constructed around the playground, propelling him downwards and clashing into the dirt face-first. After a moment or two of idleness, he weakly sat upright and then instantaneously spouted salty tears, crying out for his mother. Without delay he jetted to his feet, sprinting en route for your aunt. Had you not been so baffled, you would have found his humiliation hilarious.

Mildly amused, the boy hummed, "Hmm~ he didn't really think that through did he?"

From your spot on the ground, you curiously gawked up at the boy. His face was different now that it decided to wear a smile, enhancing the glimmer in his ruby orbs. Although, this was a smile you weren't familiar with as it carted a distorted kindness. Being a child, you had no true conception of a person having ulterior motives, yet you were cognizant of your dislike for the odd boy.
