Flashette(Book Three)

And with that, I began running. I ran to my friends, who had changed in this timeline as well. Everyone had changed...for the worse. And it was all because of this mistake. Barry thought he could make a perfect world, but it ended up making it worse. I ran to a place where I could run for help.
"We need to get some paperweights in here!" Felicity commented, picking up the loose papers that blew when I sped in. "What's up? I wasn't expecting you.......or you..." Felicity said after Barry sped in a few moments later.
"Well, Barry created a "Flashpoint Paradox" where our parents were alive and it was great, but it changed-"
"Slow down.....run-no...walk me through what happened."
"Okay, well Barry and I went back in time and defeated the Reverse Flash. We then lived in an alternate universe where our parents lived. Caitlin didn't work at S.T.A.R Labs and Cisco was a billionaire. Wally was Kid Flash, and Joe was a lazy alcoholic. When we came back to this timeline, we first noticed the small changes. Cisco didn't come up with names for meta's anymore, and Iris doesn't talk to Joe, we later found out. I was able to get the reason out of him earlier and he said it was due to him not telling Iris her mom was alive. At CCPD, we are no longer the only ones in the lab. Now some other guy is in there....he has an annoying accent as I think his names "Julian" or something. To add to that, he hates our guts, and Cisco's depressed. His brother died and I saw him in some kind of therapy today."
"Those are issues."
"Yeah, but what if there's more?" I asked. I hesitated, but then spoke: "Can I borrow this?" I asked, pointing to the computer. Felicity put her hand to the back of her neck and I reassured her that I would be gentle. I then checked everything and everyone I knew to see if there were any more changes.
"Everything checks out....but......what's that?" I asked, clicking on Diggle's icon. "Who's that boy with him?"
"He didn't have a kid before?" Felicity asked.
"Yeah, baby Sarah."
"No, this is Baby John."
"We screwed up!" I said spinning in the chair and standing up. "We ruined everyone's lives....."
"You need to tell them."
"I'm not gonna tell them. Why would I do that?" Barry asked.
"You need to fix this. You need to be the super couple everyone loves and fix it. Go....." Felicity said. We thanked her for her time and left.
Barry and I went back to our house to talk up a plan. We talked for a while, and munched on popcorn while we chatted. (🍿Isn't it always popcorn?) We came up with a plan and put it into action. We were going to trick Iris and Joe to come over our house, and invite the S.T.A.R Labs team as well.
"Hey Iris!" I said, approaching to her desk at CCPN.
"Where did you come from?" She asked.
"Uh.....Work.........I wanted to see how my favorite gal was doing."
"I'm doing good. How are things with you?"
"Good...I actually wanted to ask you something. Would you want to come over my house tonight for dinner? Joe has some things he wants to give you for your report, and he's bringing over your favorite..."
"Aunt Ester's noodles?" She asked.
"Yup!" I said with a fake smile.
"Okay....." Iris said. "But if this is a trick..."
"Don't worry...See you tonight!" I exclaimed before walking outside and whipping my phone out of my pocket. I called Barry:
"It's the noodles. Have Joe bring over the noodles."
"Like Ramen?" Barry asked.
"We're not trying to kill our guests Bar.....something their Aunt Ester made. You know, the women that made that really good eggnog..."
"Oh yeah. And Joe is expecting some kind of conversation between him and Iris."
"Should've told me that ahead of time Bar. Did you ask Cisco, Caitlin, and Wally?"
"Yeah, they're in."
"Sweet.....talk to you soon....see you at home," I said before I hung up. I then sped home and met Barry.
"This is gonna be an chaotic night," Barry said before we sat down and watched tv. We would have gone to work, but our rival, Mr Albert, had it taken care of.
If was around 5:30, and our guests were on their way. Iris and Wally were the first to arrive. I could see from the look on Iris' face that she wasn't looking forward to this, but it was something that had to be done. Cisco and Caitlin came after Iris and Wally. Caitlin greeted us with an insincere smile, and Cisco greeted us with a smirk. Joe, came through the door with a big dish.
"Here's the Ramen!" Barry joked before I slapped his chest. He winced and the smile quickly came off his face. "Ester's famous noodles...." he then replied. Joe set them down on the counter and took off his oven mitts.
"Who wants salad?" He asked before we took off our jackets and sat down. Barry and I sat at the heads of the table and awaited the talking to begin.
The conversation was slow. We made smalltalk and talked about things that were unimportant. Iris then broke the silence.
"So.......Joe.......where is this material you're giving me for my report?" Iris asked.
"What? I don't remember agreeing to this?" He countered.
"Chloe told me you were going to-"
"That's funny, because Barry said you had some things to say to me."
"Look's like we've been-" Iris said before all of our phones buzzed.
"Meta-human Alert App," Cisco said jumping up from the table. "Speedster activity by the water," he said before Barry and I sped into our suits and headed out. We checked out the location, and later found the activity the app was buzzing about:
"Good to see you Flashes......"
"Clariss? What are you doing? I thought you were-"
"Gone?......dead?.....I did too.....I had visions and they wouldn't stop. They were of that paradox you created. And they lead me to my friend," he said before stepping aside. "Meet Dr Alchemy." A man in a mask and a dark hood came out from the darkness and with a thrust of his hand, a blast shot out and knocked me on the ground. He then used his hand to fire one at Barry.
We were both down and couldn't escape. He had some kind of secret or power that overpowered ours.
We thought it was the end. We couldn't escape and the team was on the other end panicking. I could hear their nervous talking to another and I thought this was it.
Suddenly, the Rival and Dr Alchemy were on the ground. Barry and I quickly recovered and stood up to see Cisco with his hand up in the air. He had sent a blast at both the villains, similar to Reverb from Earth 2. Cisco was wearing a suit similar to Reverb's as well. Rival was left unconscious, but Dr Alchemy was nowhere to be seen.
"Thanks man," I said before sticking my hand out. He ignored it and we returned back home after bringing Clariss to Iron Heights.
"Tel us what's going on," Iris said, giving us stern looks. Without thinking again, Barry ran out the door. A portal opened and I caught up to him. We ran, until we were pulled out and thrown to the ground. We stumbled, but stood up. It was Jay.....well.....Henry......His doppelganger.
"Put these on," he said before throwing us each a stack of clothes. We changed, and he took us out for coffee.
"Why did you do this? What's going on?" I asked.
"I've been watching you guys. You were going to do it again? After all this time and things you've been told about time travel, you still go and do it."
"Everything's different. People have changed. We thought that going back would change it."
"Think of time travel like this cup," Henry said holding it up. He then vibrated his hand and broke a piece off. "No matter how hard you try, it will never go back got the way you want it to," he said trying to fix the broken piece. "Just like the timeline......And you know what you have to do......You're the heroes guys....." he said before we sped out of the shop and back through the portal.
We sped back inside and greeted our friends who were at the table.
"So....." Iris asked with her arms crossed. I sighed.....
"We traveled back in time to save our parents and lived in a paradox for 3 months. Everyone was different in that timeline, as well as this one before we
went back. Iris talked to Joe, Dante was alive, and there was no Rival. We defeated one of our greatest enemies and all the meta's were gone. Both of our sets of parents were dead and we all loved life normally. There was none of this. That's how it used to be."
"So you arranged this so things could go back to normal, because that was how they were originally," Iris commented.
"Exactly."
"So if that's how it was, that's how it should be," Iris said as she walked up to Joe. She hugged him and we all smiled.
"And I'm sorry for being mad at you about Dante. It's that drunk driver's fault anyway," Cisco said to Barry.
"It's okay," Barry said as he hugged Cisco.
"We're like a happy family. The S.T.A.R. Labs team of 7 is back baby!" Cisco said after he broke the hug.
"Soon to be 8," I said before it got silent. Everyone then got what I was hinting, and congratulated us. It was a happy night full of celebration, though it started rough.

CHAPTER 2 IS UP!! I hope you liked it. It wasn't exactly in order of the show, but it included other things that weren't in the episode as well. I'm also sorry it's late. I'm going to have to make some type of writing schedule. I'm also striving for longer chapters this season. I'll see you in the next chapter and shorts are on the way! -Flashette1
