Here is chapter 10! Regular updates will resume. First, I will do a recap of the final paragraph of the last update and continue to the new chapter. Enjoy! Are you ready to find out one of the biggest revelations of this series? You've been asking about it and here you go:
-----------------------------------
Last chapter recap:
We sat on the couch, and a square box was placed on my lap. Barry peeled off the wrapping paper, and I lifted the lid off the box. We both peeled back tissue paper to reveal an upside down photo frame. When we turned it around, we were surprised by what we saw. It was from the ultra sound....When we saw it, we were surprised........We weren't having a baby........
----------------------------------------
We were having two. Barry and I looked at the picture for a few seconds in awe before coming to the realization. We looked at each other with happy tears filling our eyes. I threw myself to him in a hug. I held Barry tight and he rocked me back and forth. We were so happy in that moment and I wish I could have stayed like that forever. Eventually, our friends joined the hug and we filled in the rest of our crew. Cisco and Caitlin were the only ones who knew.
"What is it?" Wally asked. "What's got you all smiley?" I flipped the picture over and they all stared. Joe, Iris, Wally, and HR kept their eyes glued to the photo.
"We're having twins!" I exclaimed. The room erupted with cheer and applause. Everyone in the room took turns congratulating Barry and I and hugged us. Everyone was in tears except Wally. He returned to his spot and stood still for a second.
"What's wrong, Wally?" Joe asked.
"Two of them.....Two of them....Two more....Duplicates......Offspring of the two brainiest nerds in the world.......I can't believe it. My heart can't take it," Wally said before fake fainting. He came back up and laughed. "Congratulations guys. Those children are the luckiest children in the world to have you two as parents. You deserve it."
"Thanks Wally," I said before I looked back up at Barry.
"It's getting late...." said Caitlin.
"Yeah....It is...Three hours past my bedtime," Cisco said looking at his wrist without a watch on it. I giggled.
"Time for me to hit the hay as well," said HR. "Isn't that what you guys say now to be hip?" He asked.
"Wally, Joe, and I will head out as well.....See you tomorrow," Iris said before everyone went through, giving us hugs and goodbyes. I closed the door after the last person left and looked at Barry.
"I can't believe it.....How'd we get this lucky?" I asked. "Two....Two little babies....Double what we were expecting, but it was totally a Christmas surprise," I said to Barry as I walked over to him and sat on his lap. He was now sitting on the couch and u buried my head in his chest.
"More like a Christmas miracle."
My lifeless body in Savitar's arms. I was useless and defenseless. I was staring into Barry's eyes as he yelled my name. The only thing I could say in that moment was to take care of the children. I knew I was gone from the moment I was in Savitar's grasp. It was only a matter of time before Savitar killed me. I knew it was coming. It was far worse seeing it all over again......
I shot up from my bed. I threw my covers off of me and stood up. My forehead had been dripping of sweat and I was hyperventilating. I tried to calm myself down, but I couldn't. I had had a nightmare. One of the worst I've ever had. The one where I watched myself die over and over again.
"What's wrong?" Barry asked as he got up from his side of the bed and rushed to my side.
"Nightmare....Again....Savitar killed me....Seeing it for the second time made it--"
"It's okay.....It was just a nightmare-"
"THIS ISN'T A NIGHTMARE, BARRY!!" I yelled. I curled up into a ball on the floor and Barry joined me. "This is my future. This is what happens to us. I die and you're left with the babies. You have to raise them on your own....How are you going to-" He wrapped his arms around me and spoke:
"The team and I are going to do the best we can to prevent this from happening. You and the children are safe...Okay?...." Barry asked. His voice was calming and by the time he was done talking, I had calmed down a bit.
I didn't end up going to bed that night. Barry laid sound asleep, while I was planning things out. I was furiously typing things out on my computer....Everything I needed for our babies. Anything and everything I can do or get to keep them safe.
"What are you doing up?" Barry asked as he walked over to me at the desk. He noted the 53 pages of notes I had spread out along the desk, all in their own subcategories.
"Working. Baby stuff."
"I thought you were coming back to bed? What ever happened to: "I'll come lay down in a few minutes?" Barry asked.
"I got too consumed. You know I couldn't go to bed after that. That's why I'm doing this. If I can't keep myself safe, I want to at least know that the children are safe when I'm gone."
"Nothing's gonna happen to you," Barry assured as he knelt down. "I won't let that happen. Jay said that was just one variation of the future. Think about the millions of other possibilities out there." I sat admiring Barry for a moment. Not just the fact that he's the fastest man alive, as well as the sexiest, but also the fact that under the geeky comic book nerd is a hero...A protective side....A loving father and fiancé.
"What?" Barry asked as he noticed my staring.
"I love you," I said before leaning in for a kiss. Our lips brushed before our phones buzzed. I pulled mine off my nightstand and read the alert from Cisco's app.
"It's a fire....Lets go...." I said before Barry sped off.
We sped into the building with Wally following us. I listened carefully for a voice. The voice yelled for help, and I was contemplating what to do. Wally rushed for the handle to open the door, but I yelled at him:
"STOP!" I yelled. Wally took his hand suddenly away from the door. "The sudden inrush of oxygen will cause an explosion...This whole building's engulfed with flames. There's no ventilation....Unless we create an exit point for the heat and smoke. With that, we have to remove all the oxygen at the same time....When I say so, open the door...Alright, Wally? Bar, you know what to do. I'll get detective Patterson outside. Alright?" I asked before Wally and Barry nodded.
Barry began whirling his arms and created a cyclone. Wally stood by the door waiting for my signal.
"NOW!" I yelled before Wally opened the door. Barry continued until the fire was put out completely and I grabbed Patterson. I sped him outside to his team before he thanked me. I nodded and continued to S.T.A.R Labs while Barry and Wally met me there.
"Yo, that was dope!" Wally exclaimed as we emerged from the elevator and walked down the corridor. "How do you guys stay so calm? You guys are so chill in the middle of a fight....What's your-"
"Experience, Wally..." I replied. "That's why it's important for you to shadow us for a while...Get the feel for the surroundings and crime fighting in general."
"And then I get to kick some ass?" Wally asked. I smiled before walking into the cortex.
"Let me give you some advice, Wally," Cisco said placing a hand on Wally's shoulder: "being a superhero isn't about kicking ass- Wait...That was a complete lie....That's exactly what it's about..."
"Thanks, Cisco. You're gonna give great advice to your godchildren," I said before speaking to Wally: "just keep doing what you're doing. You're doing great!"
"Thanks...Better go...I'm gonna be late for breakfast with Joe....Catch up later?"
"You got it," I said before Wally sped to our closet and left.
"WOAH!" I yelled. I pointed to our suit storage closet and noticed Wally took my spot. "My suit goes there."
"Two suits, one mannequin...That's what we call a conundrum....." Cisco said before our attention was turned over to Caitlin.
"You okay?" I asked. Her cuffs were beeping like crazy and she was hitting them.
"It's these cuffs. They've been defective lately. I feel like a criminal," she replied.
"Actually....If you charged the battery like I told you to, they wouldn't be acting this way..." Cisco corrected.
"Yeah, let me just hook myself up to an outlet," Caitlin replied.
"You charge the cuffs, or go all Frozone on us, okay?" Cisco asked.
"Or...You can fix them for me?" Caitlin asked as she stood up and walked closer. She cocked her head to the side:
"Or....I can fix 'em for you......" Cisco said before taking the cuffs.
"Sumptuous day, brotherin!" HR said as he came into the cortex on a Segway.
"Good morning!" I replied.
"Not just good....It's great! I'm pleased to announce that the S.T.A.R labs museum is ready for opening! So come, lets take the tour!" He said before revving his Segway and leading us.
"You know this could have all been easily avoided, right?" I asked.
"Mmhmm," the rest of the team agreed. Harry lead us to the museum where everything was set up.
"Woah!" Cisco said as he noticed the decoration.
"You did all this?" I asked HR. The floor had been lined with infographics about S.T.A.R Labs, along with other artifacts and displays.
"Yes I did, indeed!" Said HR.
"Who's paying for this?" I asked.
"Olga!" HR yelled to a women. She turned around. "Allow me to introduce you to one of your new coworkers. This is Olga. We said hi before HR went off to another display. "Over there is tickets and admissions, next to that is our specialty coffees. Caitlin, would you be able to run that?"
"I think she's gonna have enough to do-"
"Excuse me, Mr Ramon, but do you want to be poor and eat pizza pockets for the rest of your life?.....No....Nobody wants that. Do you want income? We will get that as well as a coverup for our continued operation."
"He's got a point," I said to Barry.
"Now for the pièce de résistence," HR said before he clicked a button. A hologram of Cisco popped up and began talking about S.T.A.R Labs. We all laughed and walked over to it.
"You made a hologram of me?" Cisco asked.
"You said you didn't wanna be a tour guide, so I made one."
"This technically falls under the umbrella of tour guide."
"You're a virtual tour guide." Cisco and HR went back and forth before the hologram began malfunctioning.
"You're gonna have to fix that for me," said HR.
"I've got some important...things to do now, so I'm just gonna get to that," Cisco said before leaving. My phone buzzed and I checked it.
"And I've got a robbery to get to...Nice work, HR!" I exclaimed before getting my suit and arriving to the scene. I sped in and grabbed the ring box the thief was going to pour into his pouch.
       "Flashette!"
"That's my name...And don't plan on making it out of here. Another note, you're not getting those rings back," I said before I had a flashback. Something about the guys face looked familiar and it wasn't until I heard his voice that I realized. He was the story they were talking about on the news from that time in the future...He was the man they were talking about before I died......I was caught off guard and flew from my position as a motorcycle engine revved. I resumed my position behind a sales table until I was taken by familiar arms.
"That gun....It was amazing....So beiutiful....I've never seen anything like it in my life.."
"What happened out there?" Barry asked.
"Your telemetry readings dropped significantly," Caitlin said before she checked her phone. "I've got an errand to run, be right back," she said before stepping out.
"So we've got a guy with a futuristic riffle that made off with a bunch of jewelry and looks like a pirate." At that time, HR came in the room blabbering about pirate jokes. He said the word: "Plunder" and it brought me back to my dream. Plunder was the name of the man I encountered.
"Don't you have a museum?" Cisco asked.
"And don't you have a hologram you're supposed to be helping me with?" HR replied.
     "Not my problem."
"Come.." HR said before he lead Cisco out of the room.
"I'm gonna have CCPD monitor all be jewelry stores in the city. He must be so full of himself, knowing he escaped Flashette."
"And when he is, we'll be ready for him. Right, Chloe?" Wally asked.
"You mean: Barry and I? You're still training."
"Have you seen me in the speed lab?" Wally asked. "I'm almost as fast as you are."
"It's not about speed, Wally. It's about experience. You'll get there," I said before walking out of the medical bay with Barry.
"Chloe-" Joe said on my way out. "I agree with Wally on this one."
"I think we should find more information on this guy before we let Wally loose."
"Out of all my years as an overprotective parent, I can tell you that getting someone to learn is best when you throw them in the deep end. That's how I taught you guys how to swim and-"
      "I'm still mad about that."
"You can swim now, can't you?" Joe asked.
"Yeah," I replied. I brought Barry to the cortex and spoke:
       "What now?" I asked.
"I don't know. We're kind of on our own today. Joe's going to CCPD, Cisco and HR are working on their hologram thing, and Caitlin's out. Iris is with Wally."
"How about we go check on our friends in the workshop?"
"And see how much of a train wreck it is....Let's go," Barry said before we went down.
"Heyoo!" I greeted HR and Cisco. "What's going on in here?" I asked.
      "S.T.A.R Labs museum....Y'know...
The gift that just keeps on giving," Cisco said as he exited.
"Cappuccino?" HR asked as he lunged toward us with a cup.
      "I'm good," I replied.
"I'll take that," Barry said, taking the cappuccino and having a sip.
"I actually wanted to speak to you....Particularly about your novels.."
"My novels, yes!" HR said as he pulled up a chair for me to sit in. I sat down and Barry stood behind me.
"Have you ever written about time travel? Particularly to the future?" I asked.
"My best selling novel: "The Future ain't what it used to be," was about a guy trying to prevent his own murder. In the novel, he spent the whole time trying to-"
"Was he able to change his future?" I asked. "If he...Your character...allowed some events to happen naturally, was he only cementing the timeline that resulted in a horrible event later?"
"There are two ways of thinking about it. Some believe the future's ever changing and it's not fixed, so you can make a future of whatever you wish. Others believe that the future is fixed and you can't control it. No matter how hard you try...."
"Where are you? Fixed future or ever changing?" I asked.
"I think someone meets their destiny on the very road they take to avoid it."
"Meaning, what?" I asked with high hopes.
"The future is fixed..." HR replied. To break the conversation, Cisco came over the speakers.
      "Robbery at the Payson Hotel."
      "Go. We'll talk later."
"Thanks HR," I replied before Barry and I changed and sped to the location.
"You just couldn't resist another heist, could ya?" I asked. Plunder had been telling a man to direct a chopper back and I sped in just in time. The director ran away and left Plunder and The Flashes.
"Oh, what's the fun in one and done?"
"Avoiding a 15 year jail sentence in Iron Heights would have been nice," I replied. "You're just forcing my hand."
"Guess again," Plunder said before he fired his gun at Barry and I. We dodged it and I sped over to our villain. I punched him and he flew across the top of the building.
"Behind you!" Cisco yelled. I turned around and saw tiny pellet like bullets coming after Barry and I. They followed us, and we tried to shake them off. We ran around town and over buildings, but nothing was working.
      "We can't shake these off!"
      "Shake faster," Cisco replied.
      "Huh?" I asked.
"He means phase!" Caitlin replied. One of the nearby rooftops had a concrete border along the edge and Barry and I decided to phase through that. We knew it had worked as soon as we heard the sound of the bullets hitting the ground.
We sped back to the building where Plunder was. Everyone could feel my hesitation. I had remembered about my dream and decided to step back.
After he was caught by The Flashes
"What are you waiting for?" Cisco asked. Barry went for plunder:
      "STOP!" I yelled.
      "Why are you so-"
"Lookout!" Wally yelled. He grabbed the riffle and aimed it the other way. It was going to shoot at Barry and I.
"I got that all, man!" The director from before said as he came back with a camcorder. "Anything you'd like to say to the camera?"
"What up Central City! The name's Kid Flash!" Wally exclaimed. I tapped Wally on the shoulder and we exited. As Wally entered the cortex, he was being complemented like crazy.
      "Way to go, Wally."
        "Yeah, Kid Flash!"
       "You were amazing."
        "That's how it's done!"
"We just brought Plunder to Iron Heights," said Joe.
"Turns out he's wanted for a string of robberies that were commited from here and S.T.A.R City."
       "What was that?" I asked.
         "You're mad at m-"
        "Observe and learn, that's it."
        "Chloe, calm-"
"I just saved your life out there."
"I'm sorry. If you can't follow orders, this deal you have with us...It's over.." I said stepping toward the suit closet.
"What are you doing?" HR asked as he came into the cortex. "You're supposed to be dressed for the museum opening!"
    "We're speedsters, we have time."
     "Nobody likes a bragger, but-"
"We were actually talking about something important before you showed up, so.."
"Well this is a very big deal for all of us. Now, c'mon...You don't want to be late to the PARTY!" HR yelled as he exited the cortex, followed by Cisco and Caitlin.
"Wally..." I trailed off before he left.
"Come over to CCPD and we'll sort and write all the paperwork we have," Joe said. With his next phrase, he whispered: "and whatever reason for you snapping at Wally, please get over it," Joe said before he exited. I looked over at Barry and we decided to get changed.
"Where is everyone?" I asked. The museum was empty. Cisco was playing with balloons and Wally was playing with the punch bowl spoon.
"Nobody showed up," Caitlin said before the door opened.
"Our first customers!" HR said towards a couple who walked in.
"Hello there and welcome! For your price of regular admission, you get...a steaming hot cup of joe," HR said as Caitlin walked it over.
"Admission? You have to pay? We thought this was free."
"Did you not find us on social media, or-" HR said as they turned around to leave. "NO! Folks. Wait! Come back and-" Caitlin placed a hand on his shoulder.
"I'll make a new pot of coffee."
      "Don't bother," said Cisco.
      "This isn't working. Noone's coming!"
"Do you see this?" Cisco asked. "You've distracted us from our work, just so you could feel useful. You're not useful, here. And neither is this."
      "That's mean."
"It's one thing I learned from your evil doppelgänger-" Cisco said before the door swung open.
"Guys, there's a-" Wally said, pointing to the door.
"Welcome!" HR exclaimed as he turned around. His face turned from happy to disappointment. "Oh....Guys, it's just Julius!"
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"I've given it some thought and I'd like to accept your invitation."
"To wh---Caitlin, a minute please," I asked as I pulled her aside. Cisco, Wally, and Barry joined us. HR talked to Julian.
"Did you invite him to be part of the team?" I asked.
"Yes. And I know he's an aquired taste-"
"And he's Dr Alchemy," Cisco added.
"He gave Wally his powers," said Iris.
      "That I don't like."
"These cuffs aren't working. Every night I go to bed in fear that i'll wake up and become..her...And maybe Julian can help me. He could think of something that we haven't. Chloe, Barry, when your parents were murdered, the Wests took you in. Cisco, when Dante died, I slept on your couch to keep you company. The things that we see......The things we face...no one can do this alone. Trying is the biggest mistake you can make. He hasn't told anyone about your identities. I think we can give him a chance," she finished. Wally looked at me and nodded.
"Tell Julian we'll think about it," I replied. I pulled Barry along and lead him to the time vault to have a talk with him.
"My hesitation today was based off of the time recently when I ran into the future. That's why I keep asking all these questions and hesitating. Everything I do comes back to that moment and I don't know how to stop it. Seeing myself defenseless and the sound of you screaming my name...Its drilled into my mind."
"That's why you keep having nightmares."
"Yeah....And I don't our future to be affected by it. I know that it's coming up. Savitar's not completely gone and I know he's coming for me. When I was in the future, Plunder was caught by The Flashes and we just caught him tonight. I don't know how much longer I have with you, but I don't want you to-"
"Don't think that way, okay?" Barry asked, placing his hands on my cheeks. "I swear on both of my parents graves that I will protect you. That was just one of the many possibilities," Barry said before I threw my arms around him in a hug. Through a bit more discussion, we decided we needed to tell the rest of the team.
"We have something to tell you."
"No, not triplets!" Wally joked.
"Actually, this is something serious. I've been having nightmares and acting weird because of something that happened recently. When I threw the stone into the speed force, I traveled to the future. Savitar killed me, and Barry wasn't fast enough to save me."
"You.....Died?" Cisco asked. I nodded.
"Who's gonna tell Joe?" Wally asked.
"We can't. You saw how nervous he was when you were in Savitar's cocoon. We can't do that to him. If Joe knew Savitar was after me, he would go after Savitar himself."
"There's still hope though that the future isn't set," said Barry.
"Barry, the future is harder to change than you can imagine. I explain it as dominos-" HR said before Cisco handed him a box.
"Perfect!" HR said before I sped over to him, took the box, and placed the dominos on the table next to us.
"Think of each domino like a moment of time. One domino leads to the next, so a domino will fall and hit the next and hit the next and hit the next...And so on. When they all fall, they all lead up to the future."
"So what would happen if we altered certain events?" I asked.
"You have to be careful about what events you change." HR picked up random dominos, leaving gaps in his row. He tapped the end and they all fell down, except for the last one,
"I saw a news scroll when I travelled. Maybe that can give us some clues."
"I'll have to vibe you back to the future, but let's do it," Cisco said before he took Harry down to the other floor.
"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Barry asked. "I know it's been hard for you, knowing that he kills you."
"But hopefully we can prevent it," I said before patting Barry on the shoulder and walking down to meet up with Cisco and HR.
       "How's it going?" I asked.
"Good. The machines ready to go. It's gonna be a hell of a vibe...All you have to do it sit back, relax--Or just try to relax, and focus. concentrate  on that very date you travelled to the future."
"Got it," I said, sliding on the headset. "May 23rd, 2017."
"Whatever happens, Chlo. I'm right here," Barry assured.
        "I know," I replied with a smile.
       "Crank it," Cisco said,
"Three, two, one," Caitlin counted down before she pulled the switch. We were taken to that moment.
"What do you see?" Barry asked.
"An empty street.....A bus stop...." I then saw a portal and someone come out of it.
"That's the me from Christmas coming out of the speedforce," I said before I saw myself walking toward the tv where the news program was playing:
In other news, today the publicized trial of  Plunder comes to a close. Morello was found guilty of grand theft and aggravated assault.
"Those are the headlines, right?" HR asked. "Call 'em out, I'll write them down."
"Music Meister get six figure book deal.....Luigi's opens after murder....Joe West honored at City Hall......"
"Good for you Joe," said HR.
      "Killer--...." Cisco went on.
"What does it say?" Caitlin asked.
"Killer Frost still at large," I finished.
         "S.T.A.R Labs museum closes."
"City still recovering after gorilla attack."
"DON'T-" someone yelled. I knew what was coming...
"Savitar has me. That's Barry yelling."
"Don't do this," Barry pleaded as we rounded the corner.
"Now finally I am free of you," said Savitar,
"Look up on the roof," I said to Cisco as I saw someone. It was HR loading a gun.
"I love you Barry," the other me continued to say in Savitar's arms.
"Don't say that," the other Barry replied.
"HR's here," I told the team.
"Are you sure it's me?" He asked.
"It is you, the future's changed."
"You loose, Barry," Savitar said as he pulled out his claw.
"Take care of the children for me," I said to Barry.
"NO!!" He yelled as the blade went through my torso and I collapsed to the ground. Barry caught me and I turned away.
       "I'm so sorry, Chloe..."
"Just get us out of here," I replied. Cisco vibed us back to the present and I spoke:
"HR has a riffle pointed at Savitar, somehow telling you about my death. It changed the future."
"I was wrong and you were right. Your theory is correct," said HR.
"My headline isn't the only one we need to change, guys," I said, motioning to a half smiling Caitlin.
"These headlines tells us what happens in the future. Caitlin becomes Killer Frost and Chloe dies."
"If we change the headlines, we can change the future," said Caitlin. At that moment, Wally sped in.
"Dad's upstairs....He's been looking for you."
      "What's wrong?" I asked.
"It's Plunder....He's escaped.." Wally said before we sped upstairs.
"Morello assaulted two guards on his way out. Any idea where he might go next?" Joe asked.
"We've got it down to 35 jewelry stores and 48 hotels all in the city," said Cisco, tapping keys on his computer.
"What about banks or auction houses?" Wally asked. At that moment, my experience from the future came to me and I remembered something.
"Central City museum. That's where he is."
"They have a jewelry exhibit there-"
"With diamonds.....Lots of big ones....So it does make sense."
"Let's suit up," I said to Wally.
"I don't understand?" He asked. I put my hand on his shoulder and led him toward the suit closet.
"I'm sorry about yesterday. I was stressed about Plunder and what that will do to my future. You're ready. Whataya say?" I asked.
"Let's do this," Wally exclaimed. Joe smiled and nodded. Barry, Wally, and I suited up before we sped off to the museum. I let Wally go in first, and by the sounds of it, it wasn't going so well.
"You alright?" I asked. Wally was leaning against the wall.
"You guys can have this one."
"This one has to be you. Don't give up! C'mon," I said helping him up.
"Why do I have to?" Wally asked.
"Because then the news report from the future will change. It said that we captured him. But if you, it will change it. We can prove that we can alter the future here and now."
"So that's why you sent me out here," Wally said.
"I sent you out here because you're a hero. I need a hero right now, Wally." All of us sped out and sped after Plunder. He was terrorizing the streets with his reckless driving and tried to stop us by throwing obstacles in our way. First, he made force field that we phased into, and he sent little bullets at us once again. This time, they were explosives and we dodged them. Wally split off from us, thanks to Cisco's suggestion and Wally ran into Plunder. Wally punched him off his motorcycle and he flew into the concrete below.
"KID FLASH!! KID FLASH!! KID FLASH!!" The city started cheering.
"You hear that?" I asked. "They're saying your name!" I said to Wally as he turned around. He waved and bowed to the citizens who were acknowledging his presence. Barry and I smiled and let him bask in the limelight.
Today's story...Jared Morillo, Aka Plunder was caught today by Kid Flash after he attempted to rob Central City museum. A witness to the triumph took this video," the reporter said before showing the clip of Wally smiling after the citizens were cheering his name. Barry turned off the tv.
"It's official," I said to Wally.
      "Kid Flash...Is growing on me."
"And this riffle is growing on me...." Cisco said as he walked into the cortex with Plunder's riffle. "Heat seeking bullets are just a small thing this baby is capable of."
"How'd you get that?" Caitlin asked.
      "Barry stole it for me."
"You plundered, Plunder?" I asked Barry.
"But now thanks to Wally," Barry redirected, "Nothing is set in stone." He walked over to the board and wrote down "Kid Flash" under the headline: "caught by Flashes."
"How about a little celebration?" I asked. "It was technically Kid Flashes first bad guy..." I said before the team nodded.
"But we have something for HR," Cisco said before he pulled up security of the museum. Kids were running around and looking at everything in the museum.
"What..." HR asked, shocked and surprised.
"I called a local elementary school and gave them discounted tickets...And.." Cisco said before he went to the main camera by the door. The hologram of Cisco appeared. It was speaking perfectly and had no flaws.
"Thank you, Francisco. Thank you to all of you," HR said before leaning in for a hug.
"Go," I said before he ran down the cortex, erupting into song and cheer. Barry and I invited everyone over for dinner and we went home to clean up.
"Got it all?" I asked. The doorbell rang and Barry nodded. I answered it and the team came pouring in. HR pulled me aside and handed me a bowl.
      "What's this?" I asked. "A turtle?"
"Be careful, she bites..." HR said before I placed the turtle on the kitchen counter and met with the rest of the team. The door opened once more and Julian stepped in.
"Sorry I'm late," he said as he came in and handed me a wine bottle.
      "Right on time," Caitlin smiled.
"And we have news for you....Welcome to team Flashes..."
"Seriously?" Julian asked. The team nodded. "That's so exciting....My last team was all murdered by Savitar, so--"
"We need to work on your smalltalk skills," Caitlin interrupted.
"Yeah, sure. I'm just very upfront." Julian went over with Caitlin and Cisco and I went over to talk to Joe.
"I already talked to Wally....Yesterday, you were right...Wally's an important member of this team, as well as a hero."
"All of my speedster children are heroes," Joe said before pulling me into a hug.
"And we have a gift for Mrs Snow," Cisco said before him and Julian walked up to her. Everyone crowded around them. Julian pulled out a box and flipped it open. It was a necklace.
"We talked about your battery problem and came up with an alternate accessory. Every time you go outside, solar energy will recharge it," he said before she took the box and placed the necklace around her neck. HR made a sound with his glass and we all looked over at him.
"If I may say a few words on this occasion. Home isn't just a place, but more than bricks and a mortar. Its a feeling of belonging. A feeling of love ofcourse...A feeling of hope for the future. And though you know what's in store, you still continue to live a life full of love and passion. Even though you know how it ends, you live on like the future is inevitable. You live on like there's hope that your future will change, and I admire that about you. You go to great lengths for each other, and let's all hope that tonight's occurrences have changed the events the future holds. I've never met anyone more suited for each other than you two," HR said pointing to Barry and I. Everyone raised their glasses and drank. I didn't drink, but kissed Barry instead.
"And I'd like to make a toast to a very important member of this team," I said, standing up. "To someone who I underestimated.....Who I thought  wasn't ready, but has proved himself tonight. He's more prepared than I ever was when I was training to become a speedster. I looked like Bambi standing up for the first time. Not to mention the outfit and--What I'm trying to say is....Welcome to the team, Kid Flash," I finished. Wally smiled and mouthed a thank you. The team applauded.
"Enough with the chit chat, LET'S PARTY!" HR examined. Like HR said, we partied. We danced and sang and talked. A slower song came on and I danced with Barry. He spoke:
"I've been thinking....A lot of things have been going on lately and our wedding has been pushed to the side. We've been engaged for a while and I can't wait any longer. Especially with all that talk about our future changing, I don't want us to leave things unfinished. I love you, and I want to be more than your fiancé. I want to be your husband."
