"So how that we've got the food and the photography taken care of, what should we do for music?" I asked. "Dj, or Live band?"
"Whatever you want," Barry replied.
"So you'd be okay with Brendon Urie singing his heart out in your ears?" I asked.
"If it's what you want.........We'll talk about it later. We have to get to S.T.A.R Labs."
"Aye, Aye, Captain!" I replied before getting my stuff ready and we headed out the door.
"I've been having these dreams for the past few nights....And it all just seemed too real. I was fast.....maybe even the fastest man alive....And the city had a name for me......"Kid Flash,"" Wally was telling everyone as we entered the cortex.
"Crazy dreams," I replied. "That's what happened to Frankie Kane before she turned to Magenta. She had some painful dreams, and than she heard Alchemy's voice in her head, until she became Magenta."
"This is different," Wally said.
"No it's not."
"I'm a speedster in my dreams....I'm not evil....I'm helping people...not hurting them....This could mean my powers are manifesting...."
"No, this means that you have a lot in common with those in jail, or who are dead."
"Except for the fact that I was hit with the dark matter from the particle accelerator, like Jessie.....I'm going to class......" Wally replied before slinging his backpack over his shoulder and exiting the cortex.
"What's his deal?" I asked......"Now Caitlin, about the baby-"
"Yes...about that....you will have to come in some time later this week....I have a very important......thing.....going on right now, and have time at the end of the week..."
"Okay.....everything alright?" I asked.
"Yeah....wh-why wouldn't it be?" She asked nervously.
"I don't know...But we have business to attend to at CCPD. See you later!" I said before we exited the cortex and went to CCPD.
"Hey Julian!" I exclaimed as we walked into the cortex. "Do you want is to finish up that DNA analysis for you?" I asked.
"Why would I need you to do that?" He asked.
"We worked so well together last time.....I thought-"
"Why would I want to do it again?" He asked. "One shared case and one shared drink, does not make us mates, okay?" He replied. At that point, someone came into our office and we took immediate action.
"Mrs Horton!" I said as she walked in.
"Allens, Mr Albert, New one?"
"Yeah, found it last night....."
"Good news. And good for you two Allens, you've been reassigned to Metahuman Crime Scene Investigation full time."
"Full time?" Julian and I asked, surprised.
"We're pulling all the resources we have to find an answer to these husks...Especially because the last one belonged to The Rival....Questions or concerns, ask Judge Hankerson, okay?"
"Got it," we said before she exited the cortex. She bumped into Joe on the way out.
"Joe!"
"Cecile......I didn't know i'd see you here."
"Any chance to see you, I take it," she said giving Joe a side hug. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow night," she whispered in his ear. Barry and I shared a glance.
"Me too...See you tomorrow...." Joe said before she left.
"Yo!" I commented. "What was that? Was that what I thought it was?" I asked getting out of my chair and walking up to him. "When did you do that?" I asked.
"As much as I'd like to say, I don't have time....About Wally's dreams, I think he's in trouble."
"And we do as well. We'll do something about it. We are needed at S.T.A.R Labs," I said before we sped over.
"--Until people find out what you're doing here......You're working with The Flashes!" Harry said as we walked into the cortex.
"What's your idea, HR?" I asked.
"Disguise....We re-open S.T.A.R Labs, and turn it into a museum! As well as me becoming the new face of-"
"You forgot that we've had a psycho killer Wells' on this earth.... You can't step foot outside this place without being arrested. He did confess to the murder of our parents...."
"You're just telling me this now? How about the whole kryptogram: "Come to our earth and get a fresh start?" HR asked.
"What about you're resume as a world renouned genius scientist?" I asked.
"Fair point...." Harry said before he sang a song about patience. I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs. I got a call and took out my phone. I answered the call and told Barry the news.
"It's Joe......He needs us at his house....Wally's got a lot of questions and we have a lot of explaining," I said before we headed over.
"So in...Flashpoint, I had powers?" Wally asked. I nodded. "So I was really Kid Flash? I knew this was happening....Why didn't you tell me?" Wally asked.
"In that time, you were fighting the Rival and got badly hurt....You couldn't stop him. There was no S.T.A.R Labs, and there was no team. Just you and Iris.....You were like a crime fighting duo......We didn't tell you before because you didn't want to know about your Flashpoint lives."
"But I want to be a speedster.....I want to be a Flash....Like you....It's just-"
"No-" Joe cut in. "No, you don't."
"Yes, I do-"
"It's not safe."
"This isn't you talking, it's Dr Alchemy. This is exactly what happened to Frankie Kane before she became Magenta," I added.
"Why don't you just tell me what this is really about? You're okay with them having powers, you're okay with Chloe going out when she's carrying a child, and you let them do whatever they want......You don't trust me.....That's it..." Wally said directed to Joe.
"That's not true, Wal-"
"You don't need to fight my dads battles for him, you do enough fighting...." Wally said before he walked out the door. Barry and I sighed before heading to our latest crime scene.
"The crushed Larynx....The fingerprints around his neck....He's been choked," Julian said as we inspected around.
"Multiple witnesses say he was attacked by a shadow."
"Fabulous! A meta from never land decided to show up in Central City! Bag the body up, I'll bring it back to the lab," Julian said before he walked off.
"Wait!" I called. Julian turned around. "Barry and I are going to the Movie in the Park thing with all our friends....Maybe you'd like to go...."
"I'm seeing my girlfriend tonight....."
"I didn't know you had-"
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me," Julian said before he walked away to talk to some officers.
"Hey Joe!" I said as he walked over.
"Have you seen Wally? He hasn't been answering my calls and he left the house angered."
"No, I haven't. Do you want us to look for him? We can just run around-"
"Not necessary. Iris is out looking for him....But he was right.....I don't trust him with powers the same way I trust you."
"And you need to tell him that.....It sucks that you have to deal with this, and you have your date with Cecile tonight...."
"That's the one part of my life that I can control," Joe said before he tapped my shoulder and went off with the others.
"Let's head to S.T.A.R Labs, maybe they can find something," I said to Barry before we sped over.
"Choked by a shadow?" Cisco asked.
"That's what multiple witnesses claim."
"Dr Alchemy? Particle Accelerator?" Caitlin questioned.
"We couldn't find any evidence to support any claims."
"Where was it located? We can look on the cameras to see if there's anything useful."
"Good work!.....Chubbuck, Palmer and Rancine...Happened at about 11 last night," I said before Cisco pulled it up on the computer. We watched as the victim was being suspended in the air and choked by nothing.
"Shade....We had a meta on my earth who could do virtually the same thing...Called himself "Shade."
"What did he do, throw side eyes at his enemies?" I asked.
"Actually, he vibrated at such a high frequency that he have off the illusion that he was a shadow."
"Similar to how we phase!" I added.
"Exactly! Heat signatures are fluctuating...."
"So his molecules slow down whenever he attacks....So we just need a way to slow them down.....Can you get started?" I asked Cisco. He nodded and made his way down to the workshop and HR went with him.
Barry and I examined the video a few times more before Joe came in with Wally. He took him into the medical bay and Caitlin immediately ran tests.
"What happened?" I asked Joe.
"I was at CCPD with him, and in the middle of our conversation he began screaming. When the screaming died down, I took him here."
"Vital signs are all normal.."
"What did you see?" I asked.
"I was Kid Flash, but it wasn't a good dream. I was fighting The Rival....In some abandoned Sawmill..."
"Flashpoint...... That's what happened before he got hurt....Memories of that life...." I trailed off.
"More people getting powers....." Said Cisco.
"How do we stop it?" Iris asked.
"We lock him up. If Alchemy can get him from CCPD, he can get him from anywhere......." Joe suggested.
"He's not wrong.... Just until we figure out what's going on...Iris, Chloe, Barry...You can stay...LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" Cisco said before exiting with everyone. Barry, Iris, and I sat around, Watching Wally in the pipeline. Eventually, we got a ping on the screen:
"Shade....He's at Hoffer Park!" Iris exclaimed before we sped off.
When we got there, people were running around like crazy. We stopped right infront of Shade.
"Flashes....Just who I was looking for..."
"I see you like shadows......Wanna try and catch ours?" I asked before we ran around. Shade disappeared, and we looked around for him. I was suddenly lifted off the ground and thrown into the air. Before I landed, Barry caught me.
"We're in the van, can you hear us?" The team asked.
"Yeah, he just tossed Chloe in the air like a rag doll..."
"That's not good...."
"No shit," I replied. "Can we light this place up? I can't see him."
"Light would slow his molecular motion down so we can catch him.."
"On my-" Barry said before he was punched and fell to the ground.
"MARK!" I finished before the place lit up. Shade started roaring and shrunk down.
"Flashette!" Caitlin called from behind me. She threw something, and I caught it. I took the cuffs she threw and put them on the meta. We sped him to S.T.A.R Labs and talked to Iris.
"He wasn't himself....Alchemy was calling for him."
"And it wasn't a coincidence that this happened at the same time as Shade's appearance."
"You think Alchemy did this?"
"It would make sense, and if there's 3 husks left unaccounted for, Alchemy has 3 more he can use at any time."
"But like every other problem, we'll face it head on, right Caitlin?" Cisco asked.
"It's not the time, Cisco," Caitlin replied.
"What? Now's not the time for what? Caitlin..." I said. She took off the cuffs she was wearing. I was confused to see they were power dampening cuffs. She then thrusted her palms and frost radiated from them. We were all shocked.
"I have powers.....The cold kind......You happy now Cisco?.....I wanted to tell them when I was ready. Now, I have to leave, because I don't want to become.....Her....."
"You won't become her, Caitlin...Let us help you," I said placing my hand on her shoulder. She shrugged it off.
"It's already too late.....Cisco vibed me.....I do become her......More and more everyday," she said before she exited. I was shocked and surprised. I was a little angry that she didn't tell us, but I understand where she was coming from.
"I vibed us fighting each other......Like a full on battle.....Frost vs Vibe....."
"I'll go talk to-" Harry said before I interrupted him.
"I got it-" I said before I walked out of the cortex. I met her in the workshop and she was putting the cuffs back on. She was seated, and I took a seat next to her. It was silent before I spoke:
"How long have you known?" I asked.
"A few months....and at first, I didn't want to accept what was happening, but I had to. I went to my mom to see if she could help, but there's no way of suppressing these powers......I can't believe it's happening to me...I can't believe this is my life....."
"It shouldn't be. None of this should have happened. This is unfair to all of you.....All because of Flashpoint...Dr Alchemy.....Wally.....You getting powers in this timeline.......Dante being dead........Iris being dissappointed because she has no powers, all because of Flashpoint......" I said putting my head in my hands.
"So none of his happened before?" She asked.
"No...." I replied. After that, Barry came in the room.
"Wally's up......" Barry said. Caitlin and I got up and checked on him.
"How are you feeling?" I asked Wally.
"I've been better..." he replied.
"What do we do?" Iris asked.
"Use me.....Alchemy's calling me to go to him. If I follow him to where he is, you can catch him....." Wally replied.
"We can't let you do that...." Joe said, and Wally stood.
"He's calling for me....He wants me to---AHH!" Wally wailed as he fell to the floor in pain. We picked him up and put him back on the bed. Caitlin gave him a sedative to help, and he stopped squirming.
"We have to do something, and fast. There's no other options......We have to bring him to Dr Alchemy."
"We can't do that."
"If we don't stop them, Wally could suffer permanent brain damage....." Caitlin said. "He will suffer either way."
"Let's just reiterate that Dr Alchemy has a rocket that shoots lasers, so be prepared for anything."
"What if it's a trap and we walk right into it?" I asked.
"A few of us will stay here and watch....If we're gonna do this right, I need to do everything I can to protect him," Joe said before leaving with Wally. Barry and I suited up, and we met the meta team at CCPD to go over the plan.
"Where's Julian?" Joe asked.
"Never came in today...All my calls went to voicemail.......See you in a few," I said before walking into the elevator with Barry. Joe walked away with Wally, and we met them at the location, along with the team.
"Just note that when you go in there, we won't have eyes," Cisco said through the earpiece.
"We're going in," I said before we walked inside. We walked down corridors and down stairs before Wally got another vision. We stopped, and waited for everything to be all set. When he gave the okay, we continued.
"You okay?" I asked as we got close.
"Yeah...." Wally replied.
"It's okay to be scared, Wally. I am.....Keeps me alert....." I said before he was off. I watched as he walked down the steps, before Dr Alchemy turned around.
"Hello, Wally."
"Are you him?" Wally asked. "Are you the voice I've been hearing in my head?" Wally asked.
"I......Am......Alchemy......"
"I've been having these dreams about another life....Where...I...am-"
"The Flash....And I can give you those powers....."
"I just want the pain to stop..."
"And I can give it to you, child....Whatever you want, I'll see it so."
"What I want.....Is for you all gone...." Wally replied. All Alchemy's friends got out their weapons and I sped in to grab Wally. I sped him to safety with Barry, and I ran back to stop Alchemy. He blasted me with his gun, and I flew across the room. I tried to stand up and get to cover, but he blasted me again.
"I will not let you stand in my way of what sha'll be." I was pinned up against a wall, and was being continuously blasted.
"CHLOE!!" Barry yelled.
"Barry, STOP!" I yelled. I knew he wanted to come help me, but I didn't want him getting hurt. Joe restrained him and Wally.
"NOW!" I yelled. Joe shot Dr Alchemy, and I was set free from the pain. I stopped to catch my breath, and pulled myself together.....It was hard, considering the amount of pain I was in, but Barry rushed to me and helped me stand.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, not so sure about the baby though....Lets just hope everything's alright."
"It's gonna be....I'm just glad you're okay....You should have let me help you..." Barry said.
"You needed to keep everyone else safe.....Enough about me, we have to get back to Joe." Joe and his team moved in on Dr Alchemy, and Barry and I eventually joined him.
"It's over Alchemy."
"This is just the beginning," he said before everything started to shake, and a white flash of light began to swirl around us.
"What the hell?" I asked. Suddenly, one of our officers was suspended in the air and was being injured by the the white stream of light.
"Get the hell out of here!" I yelled to Joe and Wally, before I chased the light. "Barry, get everyone to safety!" I yelled to him before he sped all the officers out. After running and running, I sped into the core of the building, and collapsed at Joe's feet. While Joe was distracted with me, he didn't notice Wally walking over the stone that Alchemy dropped. Wally bent over to pick it up......
"Wally.........What are you doing?.........STOP!" I yelled before he picked it up. He was suspended in the air, and was taken over into a stone cocoon. I was then picked up, and dragged across the room. Barry came in at just that time, and I could tell he was horrified. I also knew he wanted to help, but he backed down. I wouldn't want him to get hurt because of me, and he respected that claim. I was horrified as well, but I had to be strong....I found myself pinned up against a wall, face to face with one of our greatest enemies. This meta had a megatron looking face.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Savitar.....The God of speed...." He said before he drew his claw.
