Nurturer's News
Poet QYou both watched me flourish
as a small adolescent
into a young adultAs parents you're nurturers
the protectors of our defense
as well as providersyou build the frontier
the frontline of our worlds
the reality and fictionsyou foreshadow in deception
your wants cloud your perception
but it's intuition that's rooted in youbeing your seed
you'll die to see me grow
a parents greatest strength
a sacrificial love.dedicating a lifetime
to their offspring,
me.in hopes to die before me
leaving us all you have to give
but on this daylucid nightmares
could be the fearful reality,
not being able to help me
you couldn't understand
you don't face my adversityI want to give up
and you can't stop me
but I'll hold on a little longerI have a ounce of faith
left in me.
