This is going to be awesome! I was just asked by Tyler and Josh to sing Forest with them! God! I'm going to scream! I literally would, but I'm trying to be cool here and not completely embarrass myself... At least on the first night. But knowing Pete... He'll probably do something to embarrass me with some help from Brendon. Gotta love those two though...
"What time does your show start?" Gerard texted me.
"Um, at eight, I think. Oh! And guess what!" I replied.
"What?!" he replied.
"I just got asked to sing with twenty one pilots too!" I sent.
"Dude, that's awesome! I'm so happy for you! God, I can't wait to hear you sing," he replied.
"I'm not that great :P" I replied.
"Bullshit! I bet you're great! You know what you should do?" he sent.
"Oh god, what?" I asked.
"I think you should call me tonight after your show and sing for me," he replied.
"Oh god," I sent.
"Please? For me? I really want to hear your voice," he replied.
"Fine, but I'll probably sound like shit because of singing for like three hours before that," I replied.
"I don't care, I just want to hear your voice anyway," he said.
"Awww," I replied as I blushed and smiled.
"So you promise? I can't wait, but I have to go now. Text me before your show if you need some words of encouragement," he replied.
"I will. Thank you so much," I replied.
"Not a problem. Talk to you later, gorgeous," he sent.
Ok, I'm totally bursting on the inside. He's too sweet. Like I said, I've started liking him that way, but I don't know if he'd ever like me like that. That, and we're just about ten years apart. If Pete and Patrick ever found out what we text each other, they'd probably have my head. As outgoing as they are, they are still obviously protective of Jaimee and I.
"Em!" Pete shouted.
"Shit!" I shouted as I jumped.
"You tend to do that a lot. Are you sure you're not doing pot with Joe?" he asked.
"First off, dick! And second, I'm sure!" I said.
"Just wondering!" he said as he laughed. "Anyway, you're needed with twenty one pilots, my dear."
"Oh god," I said.
"You're nervous as hell, aren't you? It's not even the real show yet," he said as we started walking.
"Yes, and I know that, but I'm afraid I'll be terrible," I said.
"Hey," Pete said as he stopped me and pulled me into a hug. "If you were terrible, I don't think everyone would have asked you to perform with them."
"I guess you're right, but what if I freeze up while I sing or forget the words or something?" I asked on the verge of tears.
"Hey, look at me," he said as he lifted my face up.
"What?" I asked as a single tear fell down my cheek.
"Hey, you're going to do fine, ok? If you really get nervous, come let Patrick or I know and we can try and help you. If you really can't do it later, then we understand. There's nothing wrong with being nervous. Hell, Patrick and I still get nervous too," Pete explained as he wiped the tear away.
"Y-You do?" I asked.
"God yes. I still have to calm Patrick down before shows sometimes. It's normally just the first shows, like tonight, but hey, you're definitely his daughter and if he can get through it, so can you," he said.
"I love you, daddy," I said as I hugged him tightly.
"I love you too, sweetie," he said as he hugged me back. "Now lets go."
I smiled at him and then took his hand. I'm glad I have such awesome dads like him and Patrick.
